      Advice: Ohtani moved into a tie for first place in the majors with his ninth and 10th home runs of the season, and his perfect day at the dish also brought his average up to .364, vaulting him past the Phillies' Alec Bohm (.360) for the best mark in baseball. The lefty-hitting Ohtani did all his damage against southpaws, opening the day with a two-run blast in the first inning and base hits in the third and sixth innings off Max Fried before tacking on a 464-foot solo shot off A.J.       Rafaela went 1-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in Sunday's 9-2 win over the Twins.

      Advice: Rafaela's fifth-inning, two-run shot gave Boston a lead it never relinquished. It was the Red Sox's first home run in a span of 220 at-bats dating back to April 27 when Rafaela connected as part of a four-hit game against the Cubs. He was hitting just .156 leading up to that four-hit game, which appears to have triggered his bat.     • Ohtani has four hits, two HR in win over ATL
      Shohei Ohtani went 4-for-4 with two home runs, three RBI and two runs scored in a 5-1 win over the Braves on Sunday.

      Advice: This guy is pretty good. Ohtani got things started in the first inning with a 412-foot two-run shot off of Max Fried and then absolutely annihilated a 464-foot solo homer in the eighth inning that left the bat at 110.6 mph.       Cruz went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run during Sunday's 5-3 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: Cruz' go-ahead no-doubter to right-center in the sixth put the Pirates up for good. Cruz, who also doubled, collected his first multi-hit game in 12 games and only his third since April 6.       Josh Hader lost after giving up a go-ahead homer in a tie game Sunday against the Mariners.

      Advice: It’s the save situations in which Hader has struggled, but the loss today came after he was asked to preserve a tie. Cal Raleigh’s homer was the second surrendered by Hader in 14 2/3 innings this year.       Christopher Morel singled, drove in a run and drew three walks on Sunday afternoon as the Cubs bested the Brewers.

      Advice: The hot-hitting 24-year-old third baseman capped off the scoring in the contest with a two-out RBI single off of Janson Junk in the seventh inning. He also walked three times in the ballgame, but the Cubs were never able to cash him in.       Ceddanne Rafaela homered and walked Sunday as the Red Sox snapped the Twins’ 12-game winning streak by prevailing 9-2.

      Advice: Rafaela’s homer was 105.2 mph off the bat and was projected at 398 feet. The 23-year-old clearly possesses sufficient pop, but the approach needs work; he’s swinging at everything and just not making hard contact consistently.     • Oneil Cruz homers, doubles in Pirates’ victory
      Oneil Cruz homered, doubled and walked Sunday in leading the Pirates to a 5-3 win over the Rockies.

      Advice: The double would have been a homer in 24 parks, according to Statcast. Cruz left nothing to chance on the actual homer an at-bat later, sending it 429 feet to right-center.     • Out with elbow inflammation
      The Padres placed Musgrove on the 15-day injured list Sunday with right elbow inflammation.

      Advice: Musgrove was expected to start Tuesday against the Cubs but will now be sidelined for at least the next couple weeks. It's unclear when the injury surfaced for the right-hander, who struck out nine and allowed two runs over six innings his last time out versus the Cubs. According to Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune, there's hope Musgrove will be able to return from the injured list when first eligible May 17 in Atlanta.
