      Yandy Díaz finished 0-for-5 in the loss to the Brewers on Wednesday.

      Advice: Díaz did reach on an error, but he was credited with four groundouts and one flyout today. His groundball rate is currently checking in at 62%, well above his already problematic career mark of 53%. Hopefully, it’s something he can straightened out in the next few weeks.     • Stumbles in Boston
      Webb (3-2) took the loss Tuesday, giving up four runs on nine hits and three walks over 3.2 innings as the Giants fell 4-0 to the Red Sox. He struck out four.

      Advice: After four straight starts in which he lasted at least seven innings and allowed two runs or less, Webb struggled to put away hitters and generated only four swinging strikes among his 91 pitches. Despite the stumble, the 27-year-old right-hander still sports a 2.98 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 30:10 K:BB through 42.1 innings, and he's served up just one homer so far in 2024.       Tatis went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, a steal, an RBI and two runs scored in Tuesday's 6-4 win over the Reds.

      Advice: Tatis also reached base once more via a hit by pitch and stole his first bag since April 16. Coming into Tuesday, his numbers at the dish have been misleading. He was just 5-for-40 over his last 10 games, but posted a 72.4 percent hard-hit rate and averaged an exit velocity of 96.9 mph. He's experiencing some bad luck at the moment, which should turn around sooner than later.       Duran gave up one hit and struck out a batter during a scoreless ninth inning to pick up the save during Tuesday's 6-5 win over the White Sox.

      Advice: In his first appearance since being reinstated from the injured list, Duran picked up right where he left off last season. He allowed a leadoff single to Tommy Pham before retiring the next three batters, ending the game with a four-pitch strikeout of Andrew Vaughn. It wasn't clear heading into Tuesday's game whether or not Duran would immediately slide back into the closer role after missing the first month of the season, but it appears manager Rocco Baldelli will trust the 26-year-old righty to work the ninth inning going forward.       Cortes (1-3) took the loss Tuesday against the Orioles, allowing four runs on eight hits and two walks over six innings. He struck out five.

      Advice: Three of Baltimore's four runs off Cortes came in the fourth inning, as the 29-year-old left-hander took a second straight loss. Cortes had gone seven innings in each of his previous two outings, allowing just three runs while striking out 13 in that span. His ERA now sits at 3.86 with a 1.10 WHIP and 37:7 K:BB across seven starts (42 innings). Cortes is currently scheduled to face the Tigers at home in his next start.     • Logan Webb knocked out early by Red Sox
      Logan Webb allowed four runs on nine hits in 3 2/3 innings in a loss to the Red Sox on Tuesday.

      Advice: Webb allowed just two extra-base hits, but the Red Sox tagged him early and often on Tuesday as Webb allowed an average exit velocity on balls in play of 99.5 mph. However, it just seems like a bad outing. He struggled to find the command of his changeup, which led to just a 13 percent whiff rate and the Red Sox hitters were able to tee off when he did land his pitches in the strike zone.     • Nestor Cortes hit around in no decision
      Nestor Cortes allowed four runs on eight hits in six innings in a loss to the Orioles on Tuesday.

      Advice: It wasn’t a bad day overall for Cortes, who has a 20 percent whiff rate but just a 24 percent CSW. The Orioles weren’t fooled by much and had 11 hard-hit baseballs against Cortes on the night. The left-hander relies a lot on deception, so when hitters have their timing against him, it’s going to be hard for him to find success.
