    • Throws bullpen session
Bello (lat) threw a bullpen session Tuesday, Alex Speier of The Boston Globe reports.

Advice: It's his first time throwing off a mound since he came down with right lat tightness last week. Bello could throw a two-inning simulated game next, with a rehab outing potentially on the docket for Tuesday. That could possibly put Bello in line to return as soon as May 12, if he needs just the one rehab start. He still has multiple boxes to check off before making that a reality, however. • Brayan Bello (lat) to make rehab start next week
Red Sox’ skipper Alex Cora told reporters on Wednesday that Brayan Bello (lat) will make a minor league rehab start early next week.

Advice: There had been some hope that Bello could jump right back into the Red Sox’ rotation without requiring a tune-up on the minor league side, but he’ll toe the slab at least once at Triple-A Worcester before making his triumphant return. Bello has been shelved since April 21 due to tightness in his right lat. Rotoworld 40 minutes ago

    • Availability still in question
Orioles manager Brandon Hyde said he's not sure whether Kimbrel (back) will be available to pitch Wednesday versus the Yankees, Danielle Allentuck of TheBaltimoreBanner.com reports.

Advice: Hyde said something similar prior to Tuesday's game and Kimbrel did not appear in that contest. It's possible the skipper is just practicing some gamesmanship here so that the Yankees have less information to work with, but either way it doesn't sound like there will be clarification prior to Wednesday's game. If Kimbrel is indeed unavailable again, Yennier Cano and Danny Coulombe are candidates for saves. Rotowire.com 46 minutes ago
    • Nolan Gorman goes 0-for-3 against Tigers
Nolan Gorman went 0-for-3 in the loss to the Tigers on Wednesday, dropping his average to .190.

Advice: Statcast thinks Gorman has been fairly unlucky, but his strikeout rate remains terrible and he’s not hitting the ball hard as consistently as he did last year. The Cardinals should stick with him for now, but they might consider sending him down if he’s still not hitting once Tommy Edman returns. Rotoworld 58 minutes ago

    • Heads to bench Wednesday
Santander is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Yankees.

Advice: Santander will get a breather after he had started each of Baltimore's last 13 games while posting an .886 OPS. The 29-year-old isn't at any risk of losing hold of an everyday role, but he'll cede his spot in the lineup Wednesday to rookie Heston Kjerstad, who has played sparingly since being called up from Triple-A Norfolk on April 23. • Sits against right-hander again
Fraley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Padres.

Advice: For the second straight day, Fraley finds himself on the bench with a right-handed pitcher (Joe Musgrove) on the hill. The Reds haven't indicated that Fraley is nursing an injury, but the outfielder has thus far struggled to bounce back since returning to the lineup after a week-long absence due to an illness. In his first three games back in action, Fraley went 0-for-11 with five strikeouts. If Fraley is unable to show improvement in his subsequent starting opportunities, he could fade into more of a part-time role for Cincinnati. Rotowire.com Today, 11:47 am
    • Logs first steal
Estrada went 0-for-3 with a stolen base in Wednesday's 4-0 loss to the Red Sox.

Advice: Estrada reached on an error and recorded his first steal of the year to get into scoring position, though he was left on base. Considering he logged a combined 44 steals over the previous two seasons, it's unusual that he's been less active on the basepaths. It doesn't help that he's batting just .229 with a .248 on-base percentage for the year, though those numbers improve to .291 and .316, respectively, over the last 16 games. Estrada is still seeing a starting role at second base despite the early struggles, while Tyler Fitzgerald remains in more of a bench role. Rotowire.com Today, 9:38 am

    • Nabs second steal
Morel went 1-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-2 loss to the Mets.

Advice: The steal was his second of the season, and both pilfers have come in his last eight contests. Morel is struggling to get going with his bat, however -- through 29 games he's slashing a meager .215/.292/.374 with four homers, 14 RBI and 17 runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:46 pm

    • Rutschman has two hits in win over Yankees
Adley Rutschman went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a win over the Yankees on Tuesday.

Advice: It wasn’t an exceptional day for Rutschman on Tuesday, but he was the only Oriole to pick up multiple hits. His two singles upped his triple slash to .322/.362/.449 with 18 RBI on the season. He has a surprisingly low 5.7 percent walk rate on the season, but the rest of the profile has been exactly as expected for one of the best fantasy catchers in the game. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:26 pm
