    • Not in Monday's lineup
Turner is not in the lineup for Monday's contest in Milwaukee.

Advice: Turner has been trending up finally at the plate recently in reaching base 11 times across his last six games, but he will begin this one on the bench. Daniel Vogelbach is at designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 2:39 pm

    • Returning to lineup Monday
Padres manager Mike Shildt said in an interview on MLB Network Radio on SiriusXM that Machado (hip) will be back in the lineup Monday versus the Athletics as the team's designated hitter.

Advice: Machado was held out of the lineup for the previous four games due to a strained right hip flexor, although he was able to pinch hit once over that stretch. He will be eased back into the mix Monday as the club's DH, with a return to third base coming "hopefully sooner than later," per Shildt. Rotowire.com Today, 12:04 pm

    • Report: Yankees not ready to give up on Rizzo
According to The Athletic’s Ken Rosenthal, the Yankees “are not ready to give up on [Anthony Rizzo] just yet.”

Advice: Rizzo was out of the starting lineup on Sunday and reportedly will be again on Monday. The 34-year-old has been struggling mightily this year. As Rosenthal points out, Rizzo’s .284 slugging percentage against starting pitching is the lowest in the majors, and “since 2022 his .235 batting average against fastballs is the second lowest, ahead of only the Blue Jays’ Daulton Varsho.” Considering that Rizzo is now playing below-average defense at first base, it seems logical for the Yankees to look for an upgrade. Still, manager Aaron Boone has not been willing to admit as much. “There’s no question over the last two, three weeks especially, it’s been a little bit of a struggle,” Boone said. “When you’re going through it and making little adjustments, they don’t always take right away.” Considering Rizzo is hitting .231/.323/.413 since the beginning of 2022 with a 111 wRC+, it’s now been a few years since he’s really given the Yankees’ lineup much. If they want to compete for a World Series this year, Boone may need to be open to a change at first base. Rotoworld Today, 9:13 am

    • Performance picking up in June
Arozarena went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Arozarena delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning and recorded his second multi-hit game in his last three starts. He's hit well across seven games in June, going 8-for-22 with an RBI and three runs scored. Arozarena still has a disappointing .614 OPS across 260 plate appearances, though he has still managed eight home runs and seven stolen bases across 63 games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:22 am

    • Not an option Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said after Sunday's 6-4 win over the Dodgers that Soto (forearm) "probably" wasn't available off the bench, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Soto went through his normal pregame routine in the hopes of entering Sunday's game as a pinch hitter. Though Boone said that Soto responded well to the pregame workout, the Yankees still opted to err on the side of caution and keep the star outfielder on the bench throughout the night. Soto's status for Monday's series opener versus the Royals thus remains murky after he missed the entirety of the three-game series with the Dodgers due to forearm soreness. • Records 10th steal in win
Ramirez went 2-for-5 with a double, one RBI, a stolen base and one run scored in Sunday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: With the steal, Ramirez became one of six players in the majors this season to have double-digit thefts and home runs. The third baseman has gone 8-for-27 (.296) with three extra-base hits over seven contests to begin June. Overall, he has 18 homers, 10 steals, 62 RBI, 50 runs scored, 14 doubles, one triple and a .275/.336/.554 slash line through 63 contests. Ramirez's well-rounded skill set has meshed well with a team style that prioritizes getting on base, leading to ample counting stats across the board. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:41 pm
    • José Ramírez has two hits, steal in win over MIA
José Ramírez went 3-for-5 with a run, an RBI, and a steal in a win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Ramírez is now up to 10 steals on the season to go along with 18 home runs as the 31-year-old shows few signs of slowing down. His batting average hasn’t been where we’ve expected, but he’s striking out just 10.5 percent of the time, so the low average has more to do with his low .244 BABIP than any major contact issues. The veteran is still on pace for a season of at least 30 home runs and 20 steals, which keeps him among the elite hitters in fantasy baseball. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:54 pm
    • Arozarena has two hits, RBI in loss to BAL
Randy Arozarena went 2-for-4 with an RBI in a loss to Baltimore on Sunday.

Advice: The two hits are nice, and Arozarena now has five hits in his last six games; however, the 29-year-old had three batted balls on the day and none of them were hit harder than 85 mph. On the positive side, Arozarena is now 8-for-22 in June and is pulling the ball and hitting it on the line more while striking out just 11 percent of the time. He seems to be trading some power for contact and considering he’s still on pace to steal 20 or more bases, raising his batting average and increasing his stolen base opportunities would be welcome, even if it does come at the expense of some power. • Could come off bench Sunday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that Soto (forearm) will go through his normal pregame routine and may be available off the bench Sunday against the Dodgers, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Boone also indicated that Soto should rejoin the lineup during the four-game series in Kansas City that begins Monday, as the outfielder appears to be progressing well in his recovery from forearm inflammation. It remains to be seen if the 25-year-old will be back in action Monday against the Royals, but it appears his absence won't extend too much longer. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:21 pm
