    • Exits after HBP
Correa was removed from Thursday's game against the Diamondbacks after taking a pitch off his right forearm, Betsy Helfand of the St. Paul Pioneer Press reports.

Advice: Correa was visibly in a lot of pain after getting hit by a 94-mph sinker during the seventh inning, and he immediately made his way into the Twins' dugout while holding his right arm. The 29-year-old shortstop will certainly undergo imaging to determine the severity of his injury, and Minnesota should have an update in the near future. Rotowire.com Thursday, 3:25 pm
    • Carlos Correa (arm) exits game after hit by pitch
Carlos Correa left Thursday’s game against the Diamondbacks after being hit by a pitch on the right forearm.

Advice: This one didn’t look good at all. Correa took a 94-mph fastball off his right forearm during the seventh inning of Thursday’s blowout in Arizona. He immediately left the contest shaking his head and holding that arm in a great deal of pain. The 29-year-old shortstop will head for additional evaluation and X-rays to determine the extent of the damage. Any sort of extended absence would likely result in top prospect Brooks Lee getting the call to the majors. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:05 pm
    • Lars Nootbaar starting rehab assignment on Friday
Lars Nootbaar (oblique) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Friday with Double-A Springfield.

Advice: Nootbaar told reporters Thursday that he expects to play at least five or six rehab contests before returning to the majors. The 26-year-old corner outfielder has been on the shelf since late May recovering from a moderate oblique strain. He’s been snake-bitten by injuries this season, but remains an impactful fantasy contributor, when healthy. Rotoworld Thursday, 3:01 pm

    • Beginning assignment Friday
Nootbaar (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Double-A Springfield on Friday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Nootbaar said he expects his rehab assignment to last roughly six games, which would put him in line to return to the active roster July 5 for the beginning of St. Louis' series with the Nationals. The 26-year-old outfielder has spent nearly a month on the injured list after straining his left oblique during a game in late May. Rotowire.com Thursday, 2:36 pm

    • Not close to return
Manager Bud Black said Tuesday that Diaz (calf) will be out for at least another week, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Diaz has resumed baseball activities but is not sprinting at full speed and is still experiencing some soreness. The Rockies have stressed the importance of Diaz returning at full strength, so his absence could extend into the middle of July. Jacob Stallings should remain the team's primary catcher in the meantime. Rotowire.com Thursday, 6:45 am

    • Crushes another leadoff shot
Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a solo home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over the White Sox while also drawing two walks.

Advice: For the second game in a row, Ohtani crushed a leadoff home run to open the contest, giving the superstar slugger 25 long balls on the season and 11 in the month of June. He's now homered in five of his last six games and has posted at least one RBI in 10 straight, raising his league-leading average to .322 on the campaign. Ohtani has also drawn at least one walk in six consecutive games. Rotowire.com Thursday, 4:48 am

    • Goes yard Wednesday
Heim went 2-for-3 with a solo home run during Wednesday's 6-5 loss to Milwaukee in 10 innings.

Advice: Heim and Nathaniel Lowe hit back-to-back homers in the fourth inning, snapping a 12-game homerless streak for Heim. The outing was also Heim's first multi-hit game since June 5. The catcher is slashing .234/.288/.344 with seven home runs across 244 at-bats in 2024. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 11:12 pm

    • Shohei Ohtani slugs solo homer in win over White Sox
Shohei Ohtani went 1-for-2 with a solo homer, two walks, and two runs scored in the Dodgers’ 4-0 win over the White Sox on Wednesday.

Advice: Ohtani took Erick Fedde deep to lead off the first inning, setting a Dodgers record with an RBI in 10 straight games. He then drew a walk in the third and scored on a double by Freddie Freeman. Ohtani walked once again in the seventh to reach for the third time. The 29-year-old superstar is slashing .322/.402/.643 with 25 homers, 65 runs scored, 61 RBI, and 16 steals across 360 plate appearances as we reach the midway point of the season. • Teoscar Hernandez returns to Dodgers’ lineup
Teoscar Hernández (personal) returned to the Dodgers’ lineup for Wednesday’s contest against the White Sox.

Advice: The 31-year-old outfielder missed each of the team’s previous two games while attending to a personal matter in the Dominican Republic. Hernández will start in left field and will bat second for the Dodgers against Erick Fedde and the White Sox on Wednesday evening in Chicago. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:37 pm
