    • Justin Steele allows three over six against MIL
Justin Steele allowed three runs in six innings of work in a no-decision versus the Brewers on Saturday.

Advice: Once again, Steele wasn’t able to pick up a win, and he remains without a W in the 2024 campaign. He allowed seven hits in this outing while not issuing a walk and striking out five. While the lack of wins is frustrating, it’s more an example of how flawed the stat is, as he’s pitched well in 2024 with a 3.20 ERA and 70/16 K/BB over 70 1/3 innings. Steele’s next chance to grab a victory is scheduled for Friday against the Angels. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago
    • Luke Raley (shoulder) returns to lineup Saturday
Luke Raley (shoulder) returned to the Mariners’ starting lineup on Saturday.

Advice: Raley missed each of the team’s previous two games due to soreness in his shoulder. He’s right back out there on Saturday night though, batting fifth and starting in left field against Pablo Lopez and the Twins. The 29-year-old has hit .253/.299/.444 with nine homers, 22 RBI and five stolen bases in 212 plate appearances with the M’s this season. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

    • Back in lineup
Raley (shoulder) will bat fifth and play left field Saturday against Minnesota.

Advice: Raley was held out of the starting nine for back-to-back games with shoulder soreness, but he's feeling good enough to start Saturday. He entered Friday's 3-2 win as a pinch runner in the eighth inning and put down a sacrifice bunt in his lone plate appearance. Rotowire.com Today, 2:51 pm

    • Nolan Jones goes deep in loss to White Sox
Nolan Jones went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer against the White Sox on Saturday.

Advice: Jones took Jonathan Cannon deep for a two-run shot in the fifth inning. It was only his third home run of the season as he’s struggled to a .192/.298/.323 slash line, striking out 33.1 percent of the time across 151 plate appearances. Rotoworld Today, 1:53 pm

    • Resting versus LHP
Carroll isn't in Arizona's lineup for Saturday's game against Oakland.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Carroll will take a seat Saturday with fellow left-hander Hogan Harris slated to start on the mound. Lourdes Gurriel, Jake McCarthy and Randal Grichuk will start across the D-backs' outfield while Carroll rests. Rotowire.com Today, 11:09 am

    • Corbin Carroll sits Saturday against southpaw
Corbin Carroll is not in the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Athletics.

Advice: It appears to be a routine off day for Carroll with lefty Hogan Harris drawing the starting assignment on Saturday afternoon for Oakland. The 23-year-old’s sophomore campaign hasn’t gone as planned, but he’s shown some signs of life over the last few weeks, batting .253 (22-for-87) with eight extra-base hits (zero homers) and five steals since June 1. The complete lack of over-the-fence pop at the moment remains a massive concern for fantasy managers moving forward. Rotoworld Today, 10:06 am

    • Homers in return to lineup
Torres went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI in Friday's 16-5 rout of Toronto.

Advice: Torres was held out of action Wednesday and Thursday following a prolonged slump, and the time off appeared to serve him well. The second baseman contributed to a Yankees offensive explosion Friday with a two-run blast in the sixth inning and added a sacrifice fly in the ninth. Torres finished with his first multi-hit game in over a month -- he hadn't accomplished that feat since going 2-for-4 against San Diego on May 26. Rotowire.com Today, 7:08 am

    • Dropped in order against lefty
Carroll batted seventh and went 1-for-3 with a walk and a run scored in Friday's 9-4 loss to the Athletics.

Advice: Carroll was dropped from the top of the order to seventh against a left-hander, though it's unclear if this was a specific adjustment for one game or part of a larger plan going forward against lefties. Carroll appeared to put a season-opening slump behind him earlier this month but was 3-for-22 (.136) over seven games entering Friday. It seems odd that manager Torey Lovullo would drop him after a one-week slump. More should be learned Saturday, when the A's scheduled starter is lefty Hogan Harris. • Goes deep in loss
Suzuki went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 4-2 loss to the Brewers.

Advice: Suzuki also struck out three times in the contest, but he salvaged his night with his 10th home run of the season through 83 team games. The outfielder has played in 57 of those contests, as he missed some time with an oblique injury. If Suzuki stays healthy in the back half of the year, he could make a run at surpassing last year's career-best total of 20 home runs. Rotowire.com Today, 6:13 am
