    • Hits bench against lefty
Raley is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against Atlanta.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Raley had started in left field in four of the past five games, but he'll head to the bench for the series finale with southpaw Chris Sale on the bump for Atlanta. Switch-hitter Sam Haggerty will draw the start in left field Wednesday, but Raley should occupy the strong side of a platoon at the position until Dominic Canzone (shoulder) returns from the 10-day injured list. • Jackson Holliday resumes mashing at Triple-A
Orioles 2B/SS prospect Jackson Holliday went 3-for-6 with an RBI on Tuesday for Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: Holliday flopped in his first taste of the big leagues as Baltimore continued to challenge him from a development standpoint. However, that shouldn’t diminish fantasy managers’ long-term optimism. The latest multi-hit effort raises his Triple-A slash line to .321/.451/.554 with nine extra-base hits and one steal through 13 contests. He’ll get some extended time in the minors to continue ironing out contact issues and struggles against left-handed pitching, but it’s only a matter of time before he gets another shot in Baltimore. • Bo Bichette drives in run in loss
Bo Bichette went 1-for-3 with a walk and an RBI in a loss to the Royals on Tuesday.

Advice: Bichette continues to make an elite amount of contact but also swing at pitches that he can’t really do much damage on. As a result, he has a .213 average and just a .306 slugging percentage on the season. The RBI was his 11th of the year, and while the 26-year-old could likely use a more selective approach at the plate, he’s too talented to take out of your lineup right now. • Moves to injured list
The Rockies placed Jones on the 10-day injured list Tuesday, retroactive to April 29, with a low-back strain.

Advice: The 25-year-old was removed from Sunday's game against the Astros after his back injury flared up, and he'll be sidelined for at least the next week and a half after being diagnosed with a strain. Prospect Jordan Beck was promoted in a corresponding move and should see most of the reps in left field while Jones is sidelined. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:39 am

    • Rockies place Nolan Jones (back) on 10-day IL
Rockies placed OF Nolan Jones on the 10-day injured list, retroactive to April 29, with a low back strain.

Advice: Jones was removed from last Sunday’s game due to back tightness and now will head to the injured list until at least mid-May. The 25-year-old is slashing .170/.243/.277 through his first 26 games this season, which is definitely a disappointment for fantasy managers that drafted him expecting more of the same in 2023, but he’s hit somewhat of a sophomore slump. • Corbin Carroll settles for lone single in loss
Corbin Carroll contributed a single in four at-bats as the Diamondbacks’ No. 8 hitter on Monday.

Advice: Carroll had two hard-hit balls tonight, including a 408-foot flyout that Statcast said would have been a homer in 17 of 30 ballparks. Power has been the issue for the 23-year-old this season, so this was a pretty good night, even if the box score looks perfectly generic. Rotoworld Monday, 10:41 pm

    • Drives in three runs
Bohm went 1-for-3 with three RBI and a walk in Monday's loss to the Angels.

Advice: Bohm knocked a two-run single in the first inning and added an RBI sacrifice fly in the ninth. He's been an RBI machine this season, racking up 10 over his last six games, giving him 29 on the year. He trails only Atlanta's Marcell Ozuna on the RBI leaderboard. Bohm is slashing .364/.439/.607 with 17 extra-base knocks and a 15:19 BB:K through 30 games. Rotowire.com Monday, 9:27 pm

    • Nolan Jones likely headed to IL with back injury
Luke Zahlmann of The Denver Gazette reports that Nolan Jones (back) is likely headed to the injured list.

Advice: Jones was removed from Sunday’s game with stiffness in his back. The 25-year-old will be replaced on the roster by prospect Jordan Beck, with the transaction likely announced Tuesday. Jones has been a disappointment this year, and now he’ll miss at least a week while recovering from the back ailment. Rotoworld Monday, 7:39 pm

    • Not close to rehab assignment
Cubs manager Craig Counsell said Monday that Suzuki (oblique) upped the intensity of his baseball activities Saturday and Sunday but is not close to beginning a rehab assignment, Meghan Montemurro of the Chicago Tribune reports.

Advice: Suzuki is getting a recovery day Monday before resuming baseball activities Tuesday and Wednesday. While he would appear to be progressing slowly but surely, he still has some hoops to jump through before he's ready to go out on a rehab assignment. Suzuki has missed the last two weeks of action with a right oblique strain. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:45 pm
