    • Fans 10 in no-decision
Berrios didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Seattle, allowing four runs on seven hits and a walk over six innings. He struck out 10.

Advice: Berrios had issues keeping the ball in the park Sunday, with a Victor Robles solo homer and a three-run home run by Mitch Garver accounting for the Mariners four runs on the day. Berrios' struggles with the long ball aren't particularly new, as the 30-year-old has surrendered a round tripper in seven consecutive starts and has yielded multiple homers five times this season. However, there was a silver lining for Sunday's start, with Berrios setting a season high in strikeouts. He's on track to face the Diamondbacks in Arizona next weekend. Rotowire.com Today, 12:50 am
    • Jose Berrios punches out 10 in no-decision
Jose Berrios piled up 10 strikeouts over six innings of four-run baseball in a no-decision against the Mariners on Sunday afternoon in Seattle.

Advice: Overall, Berrios scattered seven hits on the afternoon while issuing one base on balls. All of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Victor Robles launching a solo homer in the third inning and Mitch Garver crushing a three-run shot in the fifth. Berrios got 13 whiffs on 98 pitches in the ballgame, posting a CSW of 31 percent. He now holds a 3.76 ERA, 1.13 WHIP and an 87/29 K/BB ratio over 115 innings through his first 19 starts on the season. He’ll toe the slab against the Diamondbacks his next time out in Arizona on Saturday night. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    • Corbin Carroll hits first homer in two months
Corbin Carroll took the Padres’ Dylan Cease deep Sunday for his first homer since May 7.

Advice: Carroll hit the ball 397 feet, his second-farthest shot this year. It’s the first time since that May 7 homer that he’d hit one over 370 feet. Carroll has just one 400-foot blast this season, compared to 21 last year. We still wouldn’t say there’s a whole lot to be encouraged about here. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:47 pm
    • Tallies four hits in win
Langford went 4-for-5 with a double, one RBI and two runs scored in Sunday's 13-2 win over the Rays.

Advice: This was Langford's second four-hit game over his last seven contests after he hit for the cycle last Sunday. The outfielder is 12-for-26 (.462) in that span, and he's also added a 4:6 BB:K. It's taken him some time, but it appears he's found some consistency at the plate midway through his rookie year. Langford is slashing .270/.337/.398 with four home runs, 37 RBI, 28 runs scored, 11 doubles, four triples and seven stolen bases over 66 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:22 pm

    • Still sitting Sunday
Torres (groin) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Torres departed from Friday's matchup with Boston due to right groin soreness and will sit Sunday for the second consecutive game. He'll also have Monday's team off day to rest up ahead of Tuesday's series opener in Tampa Bay. Oswaldo Cabrera will start at the keystone and bat seventh in the series finale versus the Red Sox. • Gleyber Torres (groin) remains out Sunday
Gleyber Torres (groin) is not in the starting lineup for Sunday’s contest against the Red Sox.

Advice: There was some hope that Torres could return from his groin injury after being possibly available off the bench Saturday, but the 27-year-old will sit out at least one more game. Oswaldo Cabrera will hit seventh and play second base in Torres’ absence. He should still be considered day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:12 pm

    • Taking seat with sore knee
Alvarez (knee) is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Per Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle, Astros manager Joe Espada said that Alvarez's right knee is still "pretty sore" after the 26-year-old was hit by a pitch in the sixth inning of Saturday's 9-3 loss. Alvarez was ultimately removed from Saturday's contest in the eighth inning, and he'll now miss out on a start for the first time since June 19 while he receives treatment for the knee. Espada seemed to downplay the injury and suggested that Alvarez could hit in the batting cage Sunday, though the Astros could still look to stay away from Alvarez in the series finale even if a potential pinch-hitting situation emerges. After Sunday's game, the Astros are off Monday before kicking off a three-game series with the Marlins on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:13 am

    • Rejoining lineup Sunday
Alvarez (elbow) will start at catcher and bat fifth in Sunday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Alvarez was held out for Saturday's 5-2 win after he was struck in the left elbow by a fastball in Friday's 14-2 loss in the series opener, but the day off was apparently all the young catcher needed to overcome the soreness he had been experiencing. Since returning from the injured list June 11, Alvarez has slashed .338/.413/.600 with three home runs, 15 RBI and eight runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:12 am
    • Knocks 10th homer Saturday
Raley went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.

Advice: Raley got the Mariners to within one run in the ninth with his 379-foot solo shot to right field, but Seattle was ultimately unable to force extra innings. The 29-year-old snapped a nine-game power drought with his blast, locking in a double-digit home-run total for the second straight season in the process. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:50 am
