  • Collects 12th steal
Mullins went 0-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Mullins has seen his playing time dip amid his prolonged struggles at the plate. He's gone just 9-for-73 (.123) with a 3:24 BB:K over 26 contests since the start of May, though he has managed to pick up six steals in that span despite his troubles getting on base. Mullins is slashing a meager .178/.225/.314 with 12 steals, six home runs, 22 RBI and 23 runs scored over 182 plate appearances this year. Austin Hays and Colton Cowser have been the main players to benefit from Mullins' decreased playing time, and the Orioles aren't short on prospects to call up if they choose to mix up the composition of outfielders on their roster. • Stuffs stat sheet Wednesday
Smith went 3-for-4 with a home run, a double, a walk, two total RBI and a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-1 victory against the Tigers.

Advice: Smith gave the Rangers a 2-0 lead with his solo shot to right field in the third inning and added an RBI single in the sixth. For good measure, the third baseman sweetened his stat line with a stolen base following a first-inning walk. Smith continues to shine at the hot corner for Texas, getting at least one hit in eight of his past nine games and batting .361 (13-for-36) with two homers, three doubles, four RBI, seven runs and two steals over that span. • Registers steal in win
Fitzgerald went 2-for-4 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Fitzgerald is 3-for-11 with two walks over four games since he returned to the big-league roster May 28. The 26-year-old continues to offer utility depth -- he got the start at shortstop Wednesday to give Casey Schmitt a breather. Fitzgerald is slashing .270/.324/.413 with one home run, five steals, four RBI and nine runs scored over 68 plate appearances, but it's unlikely the right-handed hitter sees anything more than a short-side platoon role while in the majors. • Notches first steal
Yastrzemski went 1-for-5 with a walk and a stolen base in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Yastrzemski picked up his first steal of the season in this contest. He's spent much of the year in a strong-side platoon role in right field, but the emergence of Heliot Ramos has pushed Yastrzemski over to sharing center field with Austin Slater. Yastrzemski is slashing a poor .214/.282/.384 with six home runs, 24 RBI and 19 runs scored through 175 plate appearances, though he should be able to maintain his platoon role as long as his bat doesn't go too cold. If Yastrzemski struggles, the Giants could eventually opt to give Luis Matos another look in the majors, who was optioned to Triple-A Sacramento on Wednesday to make room for Slater's return from a concussion. • Pops solo shot
Soler went 2-for-6 with a solo home run and an additional run scored in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Soler's Giants career has gotten off to an unremarkable start, but he's showing signs of finding a groove in June. He's gone 7-for-20 (.350) with three extra-base hits over his first five games this month after batting just .164 in May, though he was hampered by a shoulder injury. For the season, Soler has seven homers, 18 RBI, 24 runs scored, no stolen bases and a .215/.288/.376 slash line over 51 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:52 pm
  • Continues power surge
Santander went 1-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk in Wednesday's loss to the Blue Jays.

Advice: Santander produced the first run of the contest with his solo shot to right field in the second inning. He's gone deep in three of his past five contests to push his season total to 12 long balls. Santander is also working on an eight-game hitting streak during which he's gone 11-for-30 (.367 average) with three homers, six RBI and seven runs. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:51 pm
  • Gets on base six times
Ramos went 2-for-2 with a two-run home run, four walks and a second run scored in Wednesday's 9-3 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Getting on base six times will do wonders for the slash line, and Ramos' is at .304/.407/.511 after Wednesday's stellar performance. He has multiple hits in three of his last four contests and multiple walks in each of the last two games. The outfielder didn't have much of a track record in the majors over the last two years, but he's made the most of his opportunity in 2024 with five homers, 19 RBI, 12 runs scored and a stolen base through 108 plate appearances. Ramos has earned a starting role in the corner outfield, effectively bumping Mike Yastrzemski over to center field to platoon with Austin Slater. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:49 pm
  • Stays hot with four hits
Tatis went 4-for-4 with one RBI in Wednesday's 3-2 loss to the Angels.

Advice: Tatis was responsible for half of the Padres' hits and run production in the low-scoring game. The 25-year-old is on a heater with an 11-game hitting streak, during which he's batting .432 (19-for-44) with four extra-base hits. He's added 33 points to his batting average during the streak, and he's now at a .795 OPS with 10 home runs, six stolen bases, 32 RBI and 40 runs scored over 65 contests this season. • Expected to be fine
Manager Craig Counsell said after Wednesday's game versus the White Sox that he believes Morel will be fine after he fouled a ball off his left foot, Maddie Lee of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Advice: Morel had to leave Wednesday's contest because of his foot, and although he never received an X-ray, the Cubs are confident he escaped the incident without any severe damage. There's a chance Morel sits out a game or two in order to recover from any lingering soreness, but a trip to the injured list shouldn't be necessary. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:02 pm
