  • Laces three doubles Wednesday
Heyward went 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs in Wednesday's loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Heyward was responsible for all three of the Dodgers' two-baggers in the contest, and he came around to score following both of his final two hits. The veteran outfielder has been swinging a hot bat of late, slashing .500/.588/1.143 with four doubles, a triple, a home run, five runs, two RBI, a stolen base and a 3:2 BB:K over his past six contests. Heyward has played almost exclusively against right-handed pitching this season, notching just two plate appearances against southpaws. Rotowire.com Today, 10:55 am
  • Lifts homer Wednesday
Pages went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Advice: Pages hit one of Los Angeles' two homers off rookie phenom Paul Skenes, launching a solo shot in the fifth inning. It was the first homer for Pages over his past 13 games and his sixth overall this season. Despite the lack of power recently, the rookie outfielder has been swinging a hot bat, collecting four multi-hit efforts over his past seven contests and slashing .500/.522/.682 during that span. • On bench with lefty starting
Raley is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Raley will join fellow lefty-hitting regulars Dominic Canzone and Josh Rojas on the bench while the Athletics send southpaw JP Sears to the bump. Victor Robles will open the game in Raley's usual spot in left field in what will be the former's first start with the Mariners since he signed with the team Tuesday after being released by the Nationals. • Regaining playing time
Haniger will start in right field and bat sixth in Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Haniger appeared to have fallen into a short-side platoon role shortly after Dominic Canzone returned from the injured list in mid-May, but the 33-year-old has now picked up 10 starts in 11 games. Six of those starts have come against right-handed pitchers, and though Canzone and Luke Raley still appear to be the Mariners' preferred corner outfielders against righties, Haniger may have overtaken Mitch Garver on the depth chart at designated hitter. The Mariners will have room for both players in the lineup Thursday against lefty JP Sears, but Haniger is carrying an eight-game hitting streak into the contest, while Garver has gone just 2-for-19 over that same stretch of action. • Idle against lefty
Canzone is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Canzone started in each of the Mariners' last three games but will retreat to the bench for the series finale in Oakland while southpaw JP Sears takes the hill for the Athletics. Mitch Haniger will replace Canzone in right field. Rotowire.com Today, 10:06 am
  • Drives in three against Nats
Bader went 1-for-3 with a double, a run scored and three RBI in Wednesday's win over the Nationals.

Advice: The 30-year-old brought home Tyrone Taylor with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning before knocking a two-run double in the sixth. Bader has produced multiple RBI in three straight games, and on the season he carries a .272/.317/.376 slash line with three homers, eight steals, 21 runs and 23 RBI in 55 contests. • Henry Davis improved against velocity in demotion
According to MLB.com’s Alex Stumpf, after Henry Davis’ demotion in early May, he prioritized hitting against higher velocity and reacting more than thinking.

Advice: Davis was a trendy fantasy sleeper in the spring but he had a really rough start to the season, hitting .162/.280/.206 slash line with zero homers, four RBI, zero stolen bases, and a 29/11 K/BB ratio over 83 plate appearances. According to Stumpf, the first thing Davis did after was go “to the fastball machine and turned it up as high as it could go. For three days before his assignment to Indianapolis started Davis swung there.” The idea was to combat Davis’ self-described issue with over-thinking in the batter’s box. “People talk about how the speed of the game speeds up, but the second I did that without thinking about anything, it went back to what I’ve done my whole life, my whole career.” Davis performed well in Triple-A, hitting .296 with seven home runs and a 1.078 OPS over 101 plate appearances, and will hope to carry it over into his current big league stint. • George Springer is back to 5th in Blue Jays lineup
George Springer is moving back up the Blue Jays lineup, starting in right field and batting 5th against the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Springer started the season as the lead-off hitter and was moved down as far as eighth in the order as he struggled to start the year. The veteran is now 11-for-40 (.275) over his last 12 games with two home runs, five RBI, and ten runs scored. There were no major red flags in his profile at the start of the season, so it seems likely that Springer can work his way back up to the top of the lineup. At 34 years old, he may be in the downward stage of his career, but he should retain enough value to be rostered in all formats. Rotoworld Today, 7:47 am
  • Homers in return to majors
Cabbage went 1-for-3 with a solo home run Wednesday against the Cardinals.

Advice: The 27-year-old was recalled to the majors Tuesday to provide depth while Kyle Tucker (leg) is sidelined. Cabbage drew the start in right field and hit seventh, and he tallied his first home run of the season in the fifth inning. Cabbage isn't likely to earn consistent starts even with Tucker unavailable. Rotowire.com Today, 7:42 am
