    • Hitting bench in Turner's return
Sosa is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.

Advice: After Trea Turner was placed on the 10-day injured list May 4, Sosa took over as the Phillies' primary shortstop and slashed an impressive .275/.336/.505 with four home runs, three stolen bases, 22 runs and 17 RBI in 32 games while the two-time All-Star was sidelined. Turner will make his return from the IL on Monday and will immediately step back into his everyday role at shortstop, leaving Sosa without a regular spot in the lineup. Manager Rob Thomson said earlier this month that Sosa could get some reps in the outfield upon Turner's return, but David Dahl, Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos will form the Phillies' outfield trio from left to right Monday. With no path to steady playing time at the moment, Sosa looks to be a drop candidate outside of deeper mixed leagues or NL-only leagues. Rotowire.com 5 minutes ago

    • Back from injured list
The Phillies activated Turner (hamstring) from the 10-day injured list Monday. He'll start at shortstop and bat second in his return to the lineup for Monday's series opener versus the Padres.

Advice: Turner rejoins the first-place Phillies following a six-week absence with a strained left hamstring. He didn't go out on a rehab assignment prior to being activated, so it's possible Turner will some extra off days mixed in as he returns to action. Edmundo Sosa performed well as Turner's main replacement at shortstop and will most likely return to a bench role, though the Phillies have discussed the possibility of getting him some reps in the outfield. • Trea Turner officially back from the IL
Phillies activated Trea Turner (hamstring) from the 10-day IL.

Advice: The move was reported on Sunday and is now official. Turner didn’t make any rehab appearances but should be slotted back into lineups to make use of his full week of production. He may not steal as many bases right away in the aftermath of the hamstring injury, but hopefully that speed production will tick back up in the weeks ahead. Johan Rojas was sent to the minors in a corresponding move. Rotoworld 35 minutes ago

    • Swats third homer
Clement went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's win over the Guardians.

Advice: The utility player got the start at third base and hit ninth, and Clement opened the scoring for the Jays in the second inning by taking Ben Lively deep. Clement has multiple hits in three straight starts with three doubles and Sunday's long ball, and he could be slugging his way into more playing time. On the season, the 28-year-old is slashing .264/.286/.421 with three homers, three steals, 11 RBI and 17 runs in 128 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 9:25 am

    • Swipes first big-league bag
Barger went 2-for-4 with a run scored, an RBI and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Guardians.

Advice: Getting the start in right field and batting seventh, Barger stole the first bag of his MLB career after he led off the second inning with a single. The 24-year-old has started two straight games since his latest promotion, one in right and one at third base, and he's gone 3-for-7 with two RBI and a 1:2 BB:K. Barger could be in line for consistent playing time against right-handed pitching as the Jays look for an offensive spark. Rotowire.com Today, 9:21 am

    • Logs steal as pinch runner
Bliss entered Sunday's win over the Rangers as a pinch runner in the eighth inning, recording a stolen base and scoring a run without logging an official plate appearance.

Advice: The rookie worked himself into scoring position with his steal of second base and then was driven home with the Mariners' fourth run by Dominic Canzone's single. The cameo marked Bliss' first appearance on the basepaths since last Monday, as he'd failed to reach in any of the nine plate appearances he'd logged over the previous four games. • Hitting streak ends
Tovar went 0-for-4 Sunday against the Pirates.

Advice: Tovar went hitless for the first time in his last eight starts, and in that span, he hit .393 with three home runs, 10 RBI and six runs scored. That stretch helped him continue to build on an impressive breakout season, as he's hitting .290 with a .809 OPS to go along with 11 homers and four stolen bases across 70 contests. • Two hits in return
Cruz went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI on Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Cruz returned from a two-game absence caused by ankle soreness but showed no ill effects. He has five multi-hit performances across 11 games in June while maintaining a .300 average with eight RBI and eight runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 7:48 am

    • Gets another start at 3B
Alexander started at third base and went 1-for-4 with a run scored in Sunday's 12-5 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Alexander slotted in at third base for the second time in the last five games, as Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo seeks more production from the hot corner. Eugenio Suarez's season-long slump prompted the manager's decision to give Alexander more starts at third base, a position at which Arizona ranks 29th with a .588 OPS. Rotowire.com Today, 5:32 am
