    • Out of Toronto lineup
Horwitz is not in the lineup for Monday's game versus the Red Sox.

Advice: Horwitz had started each of the last seven games versus right-handers upon his promotion and batted either first or second in all of those contests, but he will begin this one on the bench as the Red Sox sent righty Nick Pivetta to the hill. Davis Schneider gets the call at second base Monday, with Daulton Varsho handling left field and Kevin Kiermaier center. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago
    • Sitting against lefty
Peralta is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Peralta will hit the bench for the series opener while the Phillies bring southpaw Cristopher Sanchez to the hill. Now that Manny Machado is back to playing third base again after he had previously made four consecutive starts at designated hitter following his return from a four-game absence due to a strained hip flexor, Peralta should have a regular spot in the lineup at DH when the Padres face right-handed pitchers. • Sitting against lefty again
Campusano is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: The Padres seem to have opted for a de facto platoon at catcher of late, even though both Campusano and Kyle Higashioka are right-handed hitters. Higashioka will stick in the lineup Monday for the fourth time in the Padres' last five matchups with lefties, while Campusano will take a seat. Campusano should still see the bulk of the playing time behind the dish as the Padres' preferred option against righties. Rotowire.com 7 minutes ago
    • Held out again Monday
Bichette (calf) remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Red Sox.

Advice: It will be the third straight start Bichette has missed as he battles a right calf injury. He had reported improvement Sunday, so it's looking like Bichette will have a good shot to avoid the injured list. However, he will yield to Isiah Kiner-Falefa at shortstop again Monday while Ernie Clement occupies the hot corner. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago

    • Phillies demote Johan Rojas to Triple-A
Phillies optioned OF Johan Rojas to Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Advice: Rojas is probably still the Phillies’ best center field option in spite of his .566 OPS, but it’d be nice if he were better and playing in Triple-A — something he’s actually never done before — might allow him to work on his approach in a way he couldn’t at the major league level. This also allows the Phillies to retain David Dahl, Cristian Pache and Whit Merrifield, none of whom can be optioned. Dahl will likely play left field against righties, with Brandon Marsh moving back to center. Rotoworld 10 minutes ago

    • Michael Massey starting rehab at AAA
Royals 2B Michael Massey (back) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday night with Triple-A Omaha.

Advice: Massey has been sidelined with a back injury since May 26th. The 26-year-old has had two instances of the same back injury this season, and this most recent one required an anti-inflammatory injection, which is not great news. However, he does seem to be on the way back, which is good news for the Royals and fantasy managers. He should slot right back into an everyday role when he returns, but it might take him at least a week to get to that point. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago
    • Could get steady time in left field
Dahl will start in left field and bat eighth in Sunday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Dahl appeared at risk of moving into a fourth-outfielder role after Brandon Marsh returned from the injured list Saturday, but both should get the chance to play regularly against right-handed pitching after the Phillies cleared up their outfield logjam by optioning the struggling Johan Rojas to Triple-A Lehigh Valley on Monday. Marsh is expected to cover Rojas' old spot in center field in most games, leaving left field available for Dahl. Since he was called up from Lehigh Valley on June 3, Dahl is batting just .231 and hasn't drawn a walk in 26 plate appearances, but four of his six hits have gone for extra bases. • Hitting bench in Turner's return
Sosa is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Padres.

Advice: After Trea Turner was placed on the 10-day injured list May 4, Sosa took over as the Phillies' primary shortstop and slashed an impressive .275/.336/.505 with four home runs, three stolen bases, 22 runs and 17 RBI in 32 games while the two-time All-Star was sidelined. Turner will make his return from the IL on Monday and will immediately step back into his everyday role at shortstop, leaving Sosa without a regular spot in the lineup. Manager Rob Thomson said earlier this month that Sosa could get some reps in the outfield upon Turner's return, but David Dahl, Brandon Marsh and Nick Castellanos will form the Phillies' outfield trio from left to right Monday. With no path to steady playing time at the moment, Sosa looks to be a drop candidate outside of deeper mixed leagues or NL-only leagues. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

    • Released by Mets
The Mets released Nido on Monday, Jorge Castillo of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Nido cleared waivers after being designated for assignment and is now free to sign with another organization after the Mets cut him loose. The veteran catcher has a career .564 OPS over parts of eight major-league seasons but is viewed as a strong defender, so he could draw interest as a backup catcher elsewhere.
