• Losing out on playing time
Duran is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Phillies.

Advice: Duran is on the bench for the third time in four games and looks set to fill more of a part-time role moving forward now that Evan Carter is healthy again after a back injury recently kept him out of the lineup for more than a week. The Rangers still have an opening in the lineup at designated hitter while Wyatt Langford (hamstring) is on the shelf, but manager Bruce Bochy appears content to rotate a number of different players at that spot. • Bogaerts out two months with fractured shoulder
Padres placed INF Xander Bogaerts on the 10-day injured list with a fractured left shoulder.

Advice: Ouch. Bogaerts sustained the injury while diving for a ball during the first game of Monday’s doubleheader. He’s expected to miss at least two months while recovering from the injuy. Luis Arraez is covering second base on Wednesday and will probably see additional action there while Bogaerts is shelved. David Peralta was promoted from Triple-A El Paso to take his place on the Padres’ active roster on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:18 pm

  • Battling elbow injury
Neto was removed from Wednesday's game against the Astros in the bottom of the fifth inning due to right elbow soreness. He went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before exiting the game.

Advice: Neto uncorked a high throw to first base in the fifth inning which Nolan Schanuel had to leap up to grab. As it turns out, Neto must have tweaked his elbow on the throw. The Angels should have more information on the young shortstop after the game, but he could be at risk of landing on the 10-day injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:09 pm

  • Zach Neto leaves game with right elbow soreness
Zach Neto was pulled from Wednesday afternoon’s battle against the Astros due to right elbow soreness.

Advice: Neto felt something on a throw from shortstop in the fifth inning and was immediately removed from the game. He’ll presumably head for further testing to determine the extent and severity of the issue. Luis Guillorme replaced him on Wednesday and would seemingly be in line for more action if Neto is forced to miss any time. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:04 pm

  • Leaves with apparent injury
Neto was removed from Wednesday's game against the Astros in the bottom of the fifth inning with an apparent injury, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Neto made a high throw to first base and was removed from the game shortly therafter. It's not clear what injury Neto might be dealing with, but the Angels should have an update on the shortstop's status soon. Neto went 0-for-2 with a strikeout before being lifted. • Homers again Tuesday
Seager went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Phillies.

Advice: Seager had a rough time against Phillies starter Ranger Suarez, going 0-for-4 with four strikeouts to start the day. However, he'd turn his night around with a solo home run off Jeff Hoffman in the eighth inning, cutting Texas' deficit to 3-2. The long ball extended Seager's hitting streak to six games -- he's gone 7-for-22 (.318) with three homers in that span. The 30-year-old shortstop is now slashing .246/.335/.383 with seven homers, 18 RBI and 20 runs scored through 200 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:13 am
  • Raps out four hits
Garcia went 4-for-5 with two triples, one RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Garcia showcased his speed Tuesday with the pair of triples. The third baseman has gone 14-for-39 (.359) during his nine-game hitting streak, and he's added three steals, eight RBI and nine runs scored in that span. For the season, the leadoff hitter is slashing .263/.308/.429 with five home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored and 11 stolen bases across 48 games. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:20 pm
  • Fills stat sheet in win
Witt went 3-for-4 with two home runs, six RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Witt has six extra-base hits over his last five games, going 8-for-20 (.400) in that span. He hadn't hit a homer since May 8, but he made up for it with a three-run blast in the second inning and a solo shot in the sixth. Witt also had an RBI single and a sacrifice fly in the contest. The star shortstop is slashing .304/.362/.546 with seven homers, 31 RBI, 45 runs scored, 16 steals, 14 doubles and three triples over 50 contests, a prominent display of his versatile skill set. • Bobby Witt Jr. homers twice, drives in six vs. DET
Bobby Witt Jr. went 3-for-4 with two home runs and six RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Tigers.

Advice: Witt drove in Maikel Garcia in the bottom of the first to give the Royals a 1-0 lead after Garcia started things off with a leadoff triple. That was just the start for Witt, who would later blast a three-run homer 468 feet to center field to put the Royals up 5-0 and hit another homer in the sixth inning just for good measure. Witt has now hit safely in five straight games and has upped his RBI total to 31 on the season. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:09 pm
