    Advice: It's been a rough season for Garver, as he's slashing just .150/.266/.313 through 94 plate appearances. However, Seattle has stuck with him as the team's primary DH, and that decision paid off Monday when he launched a two-run, ninth-inning shot to give the Mariners a come-from-behind win.     Acuna went 1-for-4 with a pair of stolen bases Monday in a loss to the Mariners.

    Advice: Acuna's wheels were key in the production of Atlanta's only run, as the star outfielder began the seventh inning by reaching on an infield single, subsequently stole both second and third base, and came around to score on an Ozzie Albies double. Acuna also struck out three times in the contest, and he's now fanned multiple times in three straight games, but fantasy managers are likely to mostly ignore that as long as he continues to run wild on the basepaths.   • Fires six hitless frames
    Fried pitched six scoreless and hitless innings against Seattle on Monday, walking two batters and striking out seven in a no-decision.

    Advice: Fried was dominant in the outing, racking up 15 swinging strikes and allowing just two baserunners, both of whom reached via walk. However, he didn't get a chance to try to extend his no-hit bid beyond the sixth frame because he needed 100 pitches just to get that deep. Still, he was in line for the victory until A.J. Minter gave up a walk-off homer to Mitch Garver in the ninth frame. Fried began the campaign with two poor starts but has turned things around since, tossing three quality starts among his past four outings.     Advice: Santana went yard once again Monday, tallying his fourth long ball in his last five games with a two-run homer off Garrett Crochet in the second inning. He's been on an absolute tear in his last five outings, batting .333 with 10 RBI. Despite the hot streak, Santana owns a poor .185/.265/.348 slash line through 102 plate appearances.     Advice: After surrendering five or more runs in three straight starts, Crochet snapped out of the funk and only allowed the Twins to score on a two-run homer by Carlos Santana in the second frame. Crochet also had strong command, walking just one batter after yielding seven walks and two hit-by-pitches in his last three outings. Although Crochet has been inconsistent to kick off 2024, his strikeout stuff has been elite, boasting the second most K's in baseball. He's lined up for a Saturday start against the Cardinals.     Miller allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Atlanta on Monday.

    Advice: Miller racked up 17 whiffs en route to a season-high 10 punchouts while mostly silencing a potent Atlanta offense. However, opposing starter Max Fried was even better with six hitless frames, and Miller actually departed in line for the loss after giving up a run in the seventh. He was taken off the hook, though, when Mitch Garver belted a walk-off homer in the ninth inning. The outing was Miller's fourth quality start over his past five appearances, and he's given up just four earned runs across 30.1 frames during that span.     James Paxton won Monday despite giving up four runs and walking five in five innings Monday against the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: Paxton has been oddly wild this year, and his velocity has been down 1.5-2 mph from last season. He’s still at least a streaming option in mixed leagues anyway, but he’s not throwing as well as his 3-0 record and 3.51 ERA suggests, and he’ll almost certainly wind up on the IL at some point.   • Corbin Carroll settles for lone single in loss
    Corbin Carroll contributed a single in four at-bats as the Diamondbacks’ No. 8 hitter on Monday.

    Advice: Carroll had two hard-hit balls tonight, including a 408-foot flyout that Statcast said would have been a homer in 17 of 30 ballparks.
