• Feeling strong in rehab outings
The Dodgers have received reports that Treinen is faring well on his rehab assignment, and he's expected to make another appearance for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Wednesday Jack Harris of the Los Angeles Times reports.

Advice: Treinen has given up five runs over 2.1 innings during his first three outings with Triple-A Oklahoma City, but the team is pleased with how he's pitched, per Harris. It remains to be seen whether Wednesday's appearance at Triple-A will be Treinen's last before being activated from the 15-day injured list. Rotowire.com 3 minutes ago
  • Héctor Neris notches fourth save Monday vs. Mets
Héctor Neris tossed a scoreless ninth inning on Monday against the Mets to record his fourth save of the season.

Advice: Neris continues to tighten his hold on Chicago’s closing role, converting four of his five save chances, including three in the last week alone since Adbert Alzolay was removed from the late-inning mix. The 34-year-old righty has allowed just one run over his last seven appearances since April 13. At this point, he should be rostered in all fantasy leagues. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago
  • Jameson Taillon spins another gem in no-decision
Jameson Taillon yielded one run over 7 1/3 innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Mets.

Advice: Taillon authored his third consecutive strong performance since returning from the injured list a couple weeks ago, limiting New York’s strong lineup to just a leadoff homer by Brandon Nimmo, while working into the eighth inning. He notched only one strikeout, but allowed just five baserunners, and only two of eight batted balls with an exit velocity in excess of 95 mph went for hits against him. He’ll bring a sparkling 1.50 ERA, 0.94 WHIP and 9/3 K/BB ratio across 18 innings (three starts) into a home outing on Saturday against the Brewers. The lack of strikeouts limits his fantasy appeal moving forward, but he’s looking like a decent streaming option, especially in favorable matchups. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

  • Luis Severino takes no-hit bid into eighth vs Cubs
Luis Severino allowed one run over eight innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

Advice: Severino kept a no-hit bid alive into the eighth inning before finally surrendering a line-drive single to Dansby Swanson following a leadoff walk to Michael Busch. An RBI ground out from Nick Madrigal later in the frame represented the lone tally against him over eight masterful frames. He tallied five strikeouts and only issued two walks. He wasn’t overpowering in this one, generating 13 swinging strikes and finishing with a pedestrian 28 percent CSW, but allowed just six batted balls with an exit velocity over 95 mph. The 30-year-old righty has been excellent in his Mets debut, allowing three earned runs or fewer in six consecutive outings to open the year. He’ll bring a pristine 2.31 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 31/11 K/BB ratio across 35 innings (six starts) into a road tilt on Saturday against the Rays. Rotoworld 23 minutes ago

  • Clarke Schmidt strikes out five in loss versus O’s
Clarke Schmidt allowed three hits and one earned run while striking out five batters in 5 2/3 innings on Monday against the Orioles.

Advice: Besides a lead off home run to Gunnar Henderson, Schmidt pitched well against a potent Baltimore offense. After the first inning when he allowed that home run and a single to Ryan O’Hearn, the 28-year-old hurler allowed just one hit in his final four innings. He now holds a solid 3.19 ERA, 1.39 WHIP with a 34/13 K/BB ratio in his six starts this season. Rotoworld 42 minutes ago

  • Grayson Rodriguez shuts out Yankees in win
Grayson Rodriguez went 5 2/3 innings and allowed five hits and no runs in a 1-0 victory against the Yankees.

Advice: After a putrid outing where he allowed seven earned runs, Rodriguez put together a scoreless performance and threw more than 100 pitches for the first time in a game this season. This was the 24-year-old’s third win of the season and brought his 4.45 ERA down to a cool 3.71 ERA. Rotoworld 42 minutes ago

  • Trevor Rogers allows three runs in loss versus Nats
Trevor Rogers yielded four hits and three earned runs across five innings of work against the Nationals on Monday.

Advice: Rogers has now allowed three earned runs in back-to-back starts. Two of those three runs came off the bat of CJ Abrams who homered in the third inning to give the Nats an early 2-0 lead. The 26-year-old is still winless on the season (0-4) and will try to pick up his first win of the season when the Marlins take on the Athletics this weekend. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago

  • Jake Irvin allows two runs in six innings against Marlins
Jake Irvin allowed just two earned runs and punched out three batters against the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: Irvin has pitched six innings in three of his past four starts and was able to limit runs unlike his last outing where he gave up six to the Dodgers. He hasn’t been able to get batters to strikeout as much as he was at the beginning of the season. He’s struck out just three batters in back-to-back starts after having at least four punch outs in every start previously. Fantasy managers should plan to start Irvin on a matchup-basis as he’s gotten rocked against the Phillies and Dodgers, but has been serviceable against lesser opponents. He’ll likely be on the bump again when the Nationals take on the Blue Jays this weekend. Rotoworld 43 minutes ago

  • Called up Monday
Varland was called up from Triple-A Oklahoma City on Monday.

Advice: Varland will return to the major-league roster after being sent down to Oklahoma City on April 8. The right-hander has pitched two-thirds of an inning with the Dodgers over two appearances this season, allowing two runs (one earned). He'll replace Ryan Brasier (calf) in the bullpen for Los Angeles after Brasier was placed on the 15-day injured list Monday. Rotowire.com 49 minutes ago
