• Back on bench Wednesday
Renfroe is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Renfroe looked to be on the outs for an everyday role when he was held out of the lineup for consecutive games last Thursday and Friday, but he started in each of the past four games. However, Renfroe went just 1-for-12 with two walks in those contests, and he now finds himself back on the bench while his season-long slash line now sits at .150/.218/.263. Adam Frazier will get the nod in right field Wednesday, and manager Matt Quartaro could be inclined to lean on a timeshare between Frazier and Renfroe at that spot in the lineup until one player starts to heat up at the plate. • Jose Siri suspended three games
Jose Siri was suspended three games after getting in a brawl with Abner Uribe on Tuesday.

Advice: Siri will reportedly appeal his three-game suspension. The fight occurred in the eighth inning when Siri and Brewers reliever Abner Uribe exchanged words near first base. “When I went to first base, I just went there normal, and he kind of hit me on the shoulder,” Siri said. “So I asked him why did he do that? And he just said, ‘Because I felt like it.’” Earlier in the game, Siri was hit by a pitch from Freddy Peralta that resulted in Milwaukee’s starter getting ejected. That moment didn’t sit well with Uribe thus the brawl happening which cleared both benches. Rotoworld 6 minutes ago

  • Logs another steal
Tucker went 2-for-4 with a double, a run and a stolen base against Philadelphia in a loss Tuesday.

Advice: Tucker got his second straight start at DH and was one of only two Angels with multiple hits in the defeat. The veteran swiped a bag in the fifth inning, becoming the second player in team history to notch a theft in each of his first two games with the club, per Angels Senior Communications Manager Matt Birch. Tucker swiped as many as 47 bases in the minors (in 2017), but he hasn't recorded more than 11 thefts in a professional campaign since 2018. Rotowire.com 6 minutes ago

  • Resting Wednesday
McCutchen is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: McCutchen looks to be getting a veteran's rest day as the Pirates and Athletics wrap up their series with a day game after a night game. With McCutchen on the bench, Bryan Reynolds will get a day off in the outfield and will serve as the Pirates' designated hitter. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago
  • On bench Thursday
Taylor is out of the lineup for Thursday's game against the Athletics.

Advice: Taylor will take a seat for the series finale after he had manned center field in each of the past three games while going 1-for-9 with two walks. Jack Suwinski will cover center field Wednesday and will be flanked by Connor Joe in left field and Edward Olivares in right field. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
  • Gets three-game ban, will appeal
Siri (thigh) received a three-game suspension Wednesday for his role in a benches-clearing brawl Tuesday in the Rays' 8-2 loss to the Brewers, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports. He will appeal the suspension and is available off the bench for Wednesday's series finale in Milwaukee.

Advice: In addition to Milwaukee manager Pat Murphy receiving a two-game ban, three players [Siri and Brewers right-handers Abner Uribe (six games) and Freddy Peralta (five games)] were suspended for their roles in Tuesday's brawl. Uribe's punishment is the most severe since he's considered to have incited the incident in the eighth inning, when he threw a punch at Siri after the two players first started arguing when Siri was running to first base on a groundout. In his prior plate appearance in the sixth inning, Siri was hit by a pitch in the left thigh, and he'll be held out of the lineup Wednesday after Rays manager Kevin Cash said the outfielder was still dealing with some soreness. After a team off day Thursday, Siri should be ready to go for this weekend's series with the Mets, if he hasn't dropped his appeal by then or if the appeal process hasn't been completed. • Moves to bench Wednesday
Rooker is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: Rooker will get a day off after he started in each of the Athletics' last 11 games since being reinstated from the 10-day injured list April 19. With Rooker getting a breather Wednesday, Shea Langeliers will get a day off behind the plate and will serve as Oakland's designated hitter. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago

  • Sitting in second straight
Schuemann is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: After making five consecutive starts at the keystone and going 2-for-13, Schuemann now finds himself on the bench for the second game in a row, both of which have come against right-handed starting pitchers. He looks as though he'll play second fiddle to Abraham Toro at second base while Zack Gelof (oblique) is on the injured list. Rotowire.com 57 minutes ago

  • Resuming rehab assignment
Lowe (oblique/hamstring) will resume a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham on Thursday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Lowe had been set to return from his oblique strain last weekend but was delayed after experiencing right hamstring tightness in a game at Durham. However, the feeling is that it was just a minor setback and he has been cleared to return to game action. Lowe will be evaluated on a day-to-day basis at Durham to determine when he can rejoin the Rays' active roster. Rotowire.com 59 minutes ago
