• Rehab halted
The Rockies have halted the rehab assignment in Triple-A Albuquerque for Jones (back) because of right knee soreness sustained on a slide, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: A MRI came back clean for Jones, but he will rest a few days before getting back on the field. The outfielder was placed on the 10-day injured list April 30 with a low-back strain. He was then able to kick off his rehab assignment May 15. It seemed like the 26-year-old was nearing a return and was expected to be recalled after Sunday's game with Triple-A Albuquerque, but the injury on the slide has postponed that. • Not starting vs. lefty
Benintendi is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Benintendi is 3-for-20 over his past six games and will sit Tuesday as southpaw Yusei Kikuchi takes the mound for Toronto. Zach Remillard will handle left field and bat seventh. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago
  • Sitting versus lefty
Sheets is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Blue Jays.

Advice: Sheets is hitting .188 with a .616 OPS through 16 games in May and will take a seat Tuesday with southpaw Yusei Kikuchi pitching for Toronto. Corey Julks will start in right field and bat fifth. Rotowire.com 19 minutes ago

  • Joins Giants' roster
The Giants added McKenna to the 26-man roster Tuesday.

Advice: McKenna is in the starting lineup for the Giants as the right fielder and batting seventh. He was claimed off waivers by the Giants from Baltimore Saturday. The outfielder was pushed off the Orioles' 40-man roster May 13 to make room for Austin Hays. McKenna, who owns a .224/.302/.332 career slash line across four seasons in the majors, now gets another shot with San Francisco. The 27-year-old provides depth to the Giants outfield that is now without Jung Hoo Lee (shoulder) for the rest of the season. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago
  • Back from injured list
The Giants reinstated Bailey from the 7-day concussion injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Bailey was cleared to return to the field Tuesday, so the Giants will waste no time bringing back their catcher who has slashed .280/.340/.451 through 95 plate appearances this season. Curt Casali will be the one starting behind the plate Tuesday against Martin Perez and the Pirates, but Bailey is sure to return to the lineup sooner rather than later. Blake Sabol was optioned to Double-A Richmond in a corresponding move. Rotowire.com 32 minutes ago
  • Sent down to Double-A
Sabol was optioned to Double-A Richmond on Tuesday.

Advice: With Sabol not in the lineup Tuesday versus the Pirates, it seemed to be due to a lefty being on the mound. Now it is apparent there was more to that with the catcher being optioned all the way down to Double-A Richmond. This comes with Patrick Bailey (concussion) being reinstated from the injured list and Ryan McKenna being added to the 26-man roster. Sabol was getting steady playing time with injuries to Bailey and Tom Murphy (knee). The 26-Year-Old had an OPS just under .800 and will now return to Double-A for the first time since 2022. • Giants activate Patrick Bailey on Tuesday
Giants activated C Patrick Bailey from the 7-day concussion injured list.

Advice: Bailey rejoins San Francisco’s active roster literally minutes prior to first pitch on Tuesday night against the Pirates. The 24-year-old backstop resumed baseball activities last weekend after being evaluated by a concussion specialist and should take over the catching duties for the Giants in short order. • Giants option Blake Sabol back to Triple-A
Giants optioned C/OF Blake Sabol to Triple-A Sacramento.

Advice: Sabol heads out with Patrick Bailey returning from the concussion injured list just prior to Tuesday’s game against the Pirates. Rotoworld 46 minutes ago

  • Not starting Tuesday
Heyward is not in the Dodgers' lineup Tuesday versus the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Heyward has started in three games since returning from the injured list Friday. He has recorded two hits, one of which was a home run, across 11 plate appearances in those games. With the right fielder taking a seat Tuesday, Teoscar Hernandez moves to right field and Miguel Vargas enters the lineup in left field. Rotowire.com 57 minutes ago
