• David Fry leaves game Sunday with possible injury
David Fry made an early exit from Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays with a potential injury.

Advice: MLB.com’s Henry Palattella adds that Fry was apparently struck in the head by a practice swing from Danny Jansen in the opening frame, so it’s highly likely he’s been lifted from the contest for precautinary reasons to undergo testing for a possible concussion. There should be an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:34 am

  • Out of lineup Sunday
Raleigh is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's game against the Marlins.

Advice: Raleigh will begin Sunday's game in the dugout after going 1-for-8 with one RBI over the first two games of the series. Mitch Garver will start behind home plate and bat seventh against Miami right-hander Kyle Tyler. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:35 am

  • Sitting again Sunday
Kelly is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against the White Sox.

Advice: Kelly will sit for a second straight game after hitting a two-home run in the series opener Friday. Jake Rogers will once again start at catcher and bat ninth against White Sox right-hander Jonathan Cannon. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:31 am

  • Stepping in as top backstop
Pages will start at catcher and bat ninth in Sunday's game against the Giants.

Advice: Pages had already worked his way into a regular role behind the plate versus left-handed pitching while Ivan Herrera served as St. Louis' designated hitter in those matchups, but Pages will stick in the lineup against a right-hander (Logan Webb) on Sunday for the fourth straight contest. With Herrera going on the injured list Saturday with lower-back tightness, Pages will serve as the Cardinals' No. 1 backstop, but his reign atop the depth chart could be short-lived. Willson Contreras (forearm) made his fifth rehab appearance Saturday with Triple-A Memphis and could be ready to return from the 10-day IL and reclaim the No. 1 role for St. Louis as soon as Monday versus Atlanta. • Willson Contreras (forearm) could return on Monday
The Athletic’s Katie Woo reports Willson Contreras (forearm) could return as early as Monday’s series opener against the Braves.

Advice: Contreras is slated to get into a pair of rehab contests this weekend for Triple-A Memphis with the aim of returning early next week. The 32-year-old backstop has been on the shelf since undergoing surgery back in early May to repair a fractured left forearm. Barring something unexpected, he should return early next week, which would be a significant development for the Cardinals, and fantasy managers as well. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:10 am
  • Sitting down Saturday
Amaya isn't in the Cubs' lineup for Saturday's game against the Mets, Andy Martinez of Marquee Sports Network reports.

Advice: Amaya will receive a day off Saturday after tallying a base hit in each of his last three games. His absence will allow Tomas Nido to make his first start behind the plate as a Cub. Rotowire.com Saturday, 8:31 am

  • Idle Saturday
Kelly isn't in the Tigers' lineup for Saturday's game against the White Sox.

Advice: Kelly will get a breather Saturday after belting a two-run home run during Friday's win. Jake Rogers will fill in behind the dish and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Saturday, 7:22 am

  • Homers in loss
Wong went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-2 loss to Cincinnati.

Advice: Wong belted a solo home run in the second inning, his sixth of the season, and extended a hitting streak to 11 games (15-for-39). He's batting .335/.397/.471 for the season. There's no dramatic changes in his contact metrics to explain his breakout, and the BABIP (.395) warning signs are still there, but Wong has managed to avoid regression so far. • Cal Raleigh slips below Mendoza Line in loss
Cal Raleigh went 0-for-4 with two strikeouts against the Marlins on Friday.

Advice: Raleigh often seems to come up with the big hit, but the little hit has been a problem this year, as he’s batted just .198/.276/.380 in 272 plate appearances. The Mariners aren’t going to change much about his usage, but maybe they’ll give him the occasional extra day off and roll with Mitch Garver behind the plate. Rotoworld Friday, 9:56 pm
