• Up to 10 holds
Kittredge allowed a hit and struck out one without walking a batter in a scoreless inning to earn his 10th hold of the season in Saturday's 7-4 win over the Mets.

Advice: Kittredge has been excellent in a high-leverage role for the Cardinals. He's been scored on just once in 13 appearances, posting a 0.75 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB through 12 innings. Manager Oliver Marmol has gone with more clearly defined roles in the bullpen this year than in previous seasons, and Kittredge has slotted in as a strong setup man in his first year with the team. • Expected to be recalled
Berroa is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Charlotte prior to Sunday's game versus the Rays, Scott Merkin of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The White Sox need bullpen help after five relievers were needed in Saturday's extra-inning win over the Rays. Berroa allowed 11 runs over his first 4.1 innings with Charlotte this season but has been unscored upon in his last seven appearances. The hard-throwing righty was acquired from the Mariners over the offseason in the Gregory Santos trade and will be making his White Sox debut when/if he gets into a game. Rotowire.com Today, 7:50 pm
  • Bryan Woo fans six in rehab start at Triple-A
Bryan Woo (elbow) looked sharp in his second minor league rehab start at Triple-A Tacoma on Saturday, piling up six strikeouts over 3 1/3 innings of scoreless baseball.

Advice: The 24-year-old right-hander allowed just two hits on the night and didn’t walk a batter, throwing 31 of his 49 total pitches for strikes. The M’s will likely want him to make at least one additional rehab start to get a bit more stretched out before he’s an option to return to their starting rotation, but the time is drawing near. He’s worth a look in any fantasy leagues where he may have been jettisoned. Rotoworld Today, 7:38 pm

  • Ronel Blanco defeats Rockies to improve to 3-0
Ronel Blanco improved to 3-0 on the season on Saturday, limiting the Rockies to two runs on five hits over 5 2/3 innings in Mexico City.

Advice: The right-hander piled up eight strikeouts on the evening while walking a pair of opposing hitters. He served up a one-out, two-run homer to Ryan McMahon in the opening inning, then went on cruise control from that point forward. Blanco generated a whopping 21 swings and misses on 102 pitches in the ballgame — nine on his cutter and eight on his changeup — while posting a strong CSW of 28 percent. He has been a tremendous addition to the Astros’ rotation this season, compiling a 1.65 ERA, 0.92 WHIP and 30/14 K/BB ratio over 32 2/3 innings through his first five starts. He’ll look to keep the good times rolling when he does battle against the Mariners at home on Friday. Rotoworld Today, 7:17 pm

  • Cal Quantrill gives up six runs in loss to Astros
Cal Quantrill struggled in a losing effort against the Astros in Mexico City on Saturday night, giving up six runs on six hits over his five-plus frames.

Advice: The right-hander also issued a pair of free passes while striking out two batters on the night. Half of the damage done against him came via the long ball, with Yordan Alvarez crushing a two-run homer and Kyle Tucker adding a solo shot each in the third inning. Quantrill got six swings and misses on 95 pitches on the night, registering a miserable CSW of only 14 percent. Now 0-3 on the season, he’ll carry a disappointing 5.34 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and a 17/14 K/BB ratio (32 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Pirates in Pittsburgh. Rotoworld Today, 7:10 pm

  • Jordan Wicks (forearm) scratched from start Sunday
Jordan Wicks was scratched from his scheduled start against the Red Sox on Sunday due to tightness in his left forearm.

Advice: Ugh, that’s never good news. The 24-year-old southpaw is set to undergo further evaluation and is probably looking at a trip to the injured list as well. Hayden Wesneski will start in his place against the Red Sox on Sunday and could wind up with a regular spot in the rotation for a while if all goes well. Rotoworld Today, 7:02 pm

  • Jason Foley escapes ninth inning with eighth save
Jason Foley walked the tightrope in the ninth inning against the Royals on Saturday, escaping with a one-run lead intact to earn his eighth save of the season.

Advice: The 28-year-old right-hander came on with a three-run advantage, but the Royals nudged closer as they put three hits together to score a pair of runs and put the tying run on base. He rallied back though to get Vinnie Pasquantino on a fly ball to center to end the ballgame. On the season, Foley now holds a 1.50 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and an 11/6 K/BB ratio across 12 innings on the season to go along with eight saves and two victories. Rotoworld Today, 6:14 pm

  • Casey Mize pitches decently in no-decision
Casey Mize pitched decently in a no-decision against the Royals on Saturday, allowing three runs (two earned) on six hits over five innings of work.

Advice: The 26-year-old right-hander struck out a pair of batters on the night and didn’t issue a base on balls. The Royals scratched out two run in the opening inning on an RBI groundout off the bat of Vinnie Pasquantino and a run-scoring single by Salvador Perez. They tacked on an unearned run in the second inning — and should have had more after some sloppy defense in the fourth inning, but Mize was able to pitch around any further damage. He generated seven whiffs on 87 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of 26 percent. He’ll carry a solid 3.08 ERA, 1.22 WHIP and an 18/6 K/BB ratio (26 1/3 innings) into Friday’s matchup against the Yankees in New York. Rotoworld Today, 6:12 pm

  • Labors through 4.1 innings
Cabrera (1-1) took the loss Saturday versus the Nationals, yielding six runs (five earned) on four hits and two walks over 4.1 innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Cabrera cruised through the first two frames, striking out three while allowing just one runner to reach base. It was a struggle after that, though, with the big blow coming in the fifth inning when Jesse Winker walloped a grand slam. Cabrera twirled a gem in his first start earlier this month, but his second outing wasn't great and this one was worse. Further inconsistency should be expected. Rotowire.com Today, 6:11 pm
