    Advice: Jeffers' seventh-inning blast briefly tied the game at 4-4 before the Diamondbacks took the lead back a half-inning later. The catcher opened June in an 0-for-17 skid, but he's hit safely in seven of his last eight games, going 8-for-31 (.258) in that span.   • Catching bullpen session
    Moreno (thumb) will catch Zac Gallen's (hamstring) bullpen session Thursday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

    Advice: A sprained left thumb forced Moreno onto the injured list Saturday, and Wednesday's bullpen session will allow him to get a feel for how his thumb feels in his glove after a few days of recovery.     Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-1 win over the Marlins.

    Advice: Perez had gone 0-for-14 over his previous four games, and he'd gone seven contests without an extra-base hit. Both droughts ended when the catcher went back-to-back with Vinnie Pasquantino in the fourth inning, with Perez's homer serving as the decisive run. A poor June -- 11-for-57 (.157) over 20 games -- has taken some of the shine off of what was a strong start to the year for Perez.   • Lifts ninth homer Monday
    Garver went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a loss to the Rays on Monday.

    Advice: Garver's seventh-inning, 400-foot shot to left with Dominic Canzone aboard snapped a 1-1 tie and gave the Mariners their final two runs of the night. The round tripper snapped a brief 0-for-12 skid that had encompassed Garver's last three-plus games, and it marked the veteran's fourth time leaving the yard in the last 15 contests. Garver is carrying a forgettable .200 average across his 75 plate appearances in June, but an 18.7 percent walk rate and nine extra-base hits have helped him to an impressive .830 OPS in that same span.   • Perez blasts 11th home run in win Monday
    Salvador Perez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Marlins.

    Advice: Perez’ home run was his 11th of the season and second in the month of June. Perez has cooled off this month. He’s 11-for-70 (.157) in June with two home runs and five RBI.     Fry (elbow) will start at designated hitter and bat fifth in Monday's game against the Orioles.

    Advice: Fry's status heading into the series opener in Baltimore was somewhat murky after he was forced out of Sunday's 6-5 win over Toronto with right elbow inflammation, but the 29-year-old is apparently feeling well enough to stick in the lineup Monday in a non-defensive role. Once the elbow issue fully subsides, expect Fry to mix in behind the plate and in the corner outfield along with at DH as the Guardians make a concerted effort to keep his productive bat in the lineup.     Advice: Bailey got the Giants on the scoreboard in the seventh inning, breaking up Sonny Gray's perfect game with a two-out solo home run. The long ball was Bailey's sixth of the season and his second in the last five games. The 25-year-old is batting 10-for-26 (.385) with four runs and two RBI in his last six games.     David Fry is considered day-to-day after exiting Sunday’s game against the Blue Jays with inflammation in his right elbow.

    Advice: It sounds like it’s just a minor issue and the 28-year-old slugger won’t require a trip to the injured list. While his pace has cooled over the last few weeks, Fry has still been a force in the middle of the Guardians’ lineup this season — slashing .312/.429/.526 with eight homers, 31 RBI and four stolen bases in only 189 plate appearances.
