• Holds Mets to one hit in six frames
Munoz pitched six scoreless innings in a no-decision against the Mets on Thursday, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out five batters.

Advice: Munoz remained in the rotation despite struggling in his previous start, and that decision paid off for Miami as the rookie right-hander recorded the best start of his big-league career. The only hit Munoz allowed was a sixth-inning single by Harrison Bader, and Bader was soon wiped out trying to steal. Munoz was in line for the win when he departed following that frame, but he had to settle for a no-decision due to a ninth-inning implosion by closer Tanner Scott. Munoz will almost certainly remain in the rotation for the time being given his fantastic outing Wednesday, though he could eventually be pushed back to the minors with the returns of Edward Cabrera (shoulder), Ryan Weathers (finger) and Sixto Sanchez (shoulder). • Tosses six effective frames
Severino allowed one run on seven hits and three walks while striking out two batters over six innings in a no-decision versus Miami on Thursday.

Advice: Severino recorded only one 1-2-3 inning and punched out a season-low two batters, but he held the Marlins scoreless until Jake Burger belted a solo homer in the sixth frame. It was the third time in his past four outings that the veteran hurler has yielded exactly one run, and he has a 2.39 ERA and 1.10 WHIP despite a mediocre 16:7 K:BB over 26.1 innings during that span. Severino is on pace for a career-worst 6.9 K/9, but he's been solid otherwise in his first season as a Met, posting a 3.12 ERA and 1.18 WHIP across 78 frames. Rotowire.com 24 minutes ago
  • Brandon Pfaadt strikes out eight, allows one run
Brandon Pfaadt struck out eight while limiting the Angels to one run in six innings to get a win Thursday.

Advice: Pfaadt did have some control issues with three walks and 62-of-108 pitches landing for strikes, but he was able to work out of jams thanks to the punchouts. It’s a much improved effort from last weekend when he gave up nine hits and five runs against San Diego. Pfaadt has shown almost zero consistency in his MLB career — at least not in a positive way — but the stuff is here for him to be a successful fantasy option. His next chance for quality results comes next week against the Nats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:14 pm
  • Griffin Canning charged for four in loss to D-Backs
Griffin Canning gave up four runs in six innings while picking up a loss to the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

Advice: Canning gave up a three-spot in the first and another was charged to his right arm — and the rest of him — in the seventh after he exited. Between that the right-hander was solid while allowing just four total hits, but it’s tough to get a strong fantasy outing when you have three-run innings. Canning has given up his fair share of crooked numbers with an ERA of 4.76 over the first two-plus months of 2024. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:14 pm
  • Michael Lorenzen limits Dodgers to one over seven
Michael Lorenzen held the Dodgers to just a run while firing seven innings to get a win Thursday.

Advice: Lorenzen allowed just a solo homer to Andy Pages. The right-handed hurler wasn’t dominant with just two strikeouts, but he wasn’t challenged often while allowing four hits with one walk. Lorenzen has mostly been solid when available for the Rangers, and this outing lowers his ERA to 2.86. He gets the Mets on Tuesday, if Texas doesn’t make adjustments to the rotation. • Works 4.2 innings
Miller (shoulder) allowed five earned runs on six hits and three walks while striking out four across 4.2 innings in a rehab outing with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday.

Advice: This was likely Miller's final rebab appearance before being activated from the injured list. While the surface stats weren't strong, his fastball was measured between 96 and 99 mph and he threw 51 of 93 pitches for strikes. If the Dodgers elect to keep him on five days rest and bring him back to the big-league roster, Miller would make his return at Coors Field on Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:33 pm

  • Michael Kopech blows save, gets win
Michael Kopech blew a save but picked up a win while allowing a run over an inning of work against the Mariners on Thursday.

Advice: Kopech gets the win despite allowing a game-tying homer to Julio Rodriguez with two outs in the ninth. The win stat has zero flaws and anyone who suggests otherwise is providing falsehoods. Kopech continues to show the stuff to miss bats, but the command leaves way too much to be desired to completely trust. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:23 pm
  • Emerson Hancock goes seven strong in no-decision
Emerson Hancock held the White Sox to two runs in seven innings in a no-decision Thursday.

Advice: Hancock was making a spot start for the Mariners as they pushed back their rotation a day, and the results were mostly solid. He gave up back-to-back homers in the third to Andrew Vaughn and Luis Robert Jr., but he didn’t see anyone else cross the plate. Hancock has been a mediocre option when getting the ball in 2024, but there is certainly talent in his right arm. He could start again next week against Cleveland. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:23 pm
  • Garrett Crochet weaves gem with 13 strikeouts
Garrett Crochet struck out 13 batters over seven innings of one-run baseball but didn’t pick up a decision Thursday against the Mariners.

Advice: Crochet was absolutely dominant while taking advantage of a team that strikes out at an enormous rate, so the results are equally impressive and not surprising. He did allow a solo homer to Tyler Locklear, but outside of that and a Victor Robles double, it was smooth sailing for the 24-year-old. The 13 punchouts are a season-high, but this is a hurler who has already fanned 116 batters in just-under 83 innings with a 3.16 ERA. Crochet is an absolute must-start regardless of opponent, and he gets the Astros on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:23 pm
