    • Preserves win with arm
De La Cruz went 0-for-4 with a stolen base in Fridays 5-4 win over the Cubs.

Advice: De La Cruz's MLB-leading 32nd steal had no impact on the game, but the shortstop's cannon arm did. His 93.3 mph relay gunned down the potential tying run in the bottom of the ninth inning to preserve Cincinnati's win. Rotowire.com Today, 5:50 am

    • Spencer Steer goes 0-for-4 against Cardinals
Spencer Steer went 0-for-4 in Wednesday’s loss to the Cardinals, dropping his average to .221.

Advice: Steer is hitting .190/.304/.354 this month. His exit velocity numbers and xBA/xSLG stats are all pretty much the same as last year, so it seems likely that he’ll rebound, hopefully in short order. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:40 pm

    • Four hits vs. Orioles
Devers went 4-for-5 with a triple, two RBI and a run scored in Tuesday's 8-3 win over Baltimore.

Advice: The four hits are a season high for Devers, while the triple was his first since 2022. The 27-year-old third-baseman had cooled off a bit following his six-game home-run streak, going 3-for-17 in his last five contests. Following Tuesday's effort, Devers is slashing .289/.380/.548 with 10 homers, 26 RBI and 28 runs scored through 192 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 8:24 pm

    • Rafael Devers has four hits in win over Orioles
Rafael Devers went 4-for-5 with a triple and two RBI in an 8-3 win over the Orioles on Tuesday.

Advice: It was a solid day at the plate for Devers, who had two hits over 104 mph and is now hitting .295 with seven home runs and 19 RBI in 25 games in May. It’s safe to say that he’s rebounded nicely from his slow start to the year, and the counting stats should continue to climb when the Red Sox are able to get Tyler O’Neill, Triston Casas, and Masataka Yoshida back in the lineup around Devers. • Homers again Saturday
Steer went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-1 win over the Dodgers.

Advice: He touched up Walker Buehler in the first inning to give the Reds an early lead. As Mark Sheldon of MLB.com notes, Steer has now gone deep in back-to-back games after entering the series without a homer since May 1 (17 games). His struggles from the middle of the order this month have led the Reds to the cellar in the NL Central, though it's certainly not all his fault. Steer sits with a .227/.341/.403 line with six homers, 35 RBI, 25 runs scored and 11 steals through 50 games this season. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:50 am

    • Spencer Steer homers again as Reds top Dodgers
Spencer Steer homered for the second consecutive game on Saturday, helping to power the Reds to a 3-1 victory over the visiting Dodgers.

Advice: Steer got the scoring started in the opening inning on Saturday, crushing a 362-foot (94.9 mph EV) solo shot off of Walker Buehler. That would wind up being his only hit in four at-bats on the night. On the season, the versatile 26-year-old is slashing .227/.341/.403 with six long balls and 35 RBI. Rotoworld Saturday, 6:57 pm

    • Rafael Devers scores twice in loss to Brewers
Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 with two runs scored Saturday in a loss to the Brewers.

Advice: One of the hits was a double. The 27-year-old saw his six-game homer streak come to an end last week and went hitless over his last two games, but it’d be hard to complain about a slash of .276/.372/.538. Rotoworld Saturday, 4:02 pm

    • Knocks fifth home run
Steer went 1-for-4 with a three-run homer, a walk and two runs scored in Friday's win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Steer got the Reds' offense started with a three-run blast in the first inning. He snapped a 17-game homerless drought, during which he'd posted an unsightly .527 OPS. Despite a terrific start to 2024 (1.264 OPS through 11 games), Steer now owns a .227/.343/.390 slash line with 17 extra-base hits through 204 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:06 pm
