      Phillies manager Rob Thomson told reporters Friday that Trea Turner (hamstring) remains without a definitive timetable to return.

      Advice: Turner suffered a minor setback in his recovery from a left hamstring strain earlier this week when he experienced leg soreness following a high-intensity workout. He managed to resume fielding grounders and also did some light jogging prior to Friday’s game against the Cardinals, but doesn’t appear close to running the bases again, which would be his final hurdle prior to a minor league rehab assignment. It’s a frustrating situation for fantasy managers, but the Phillies can’t really afford to rush him back and risk another setback. At this point, a mid-June return seems like a best-case scenario.       Jeffers went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs and three total RBI in Thursday's 7-6 win over Kansas City.

      Advice: Jeffers got Minnesota on the board with a two-run blast off Daniel Lynch in the fourth inning, cutting the Royals' lead to 4-2, before adding a solo shot in the fifth. The 26-year-old Jeffers is up to 12 homers on the year, just two shy of his career high, though he'd cooled off at the plate following a red-hot start to the year -- he'd gone 13 games without a long ball, going just 5-for-42 (.119) in that span.       Ryan Jeffers went 2-for-3 with a walk, two home runs and three RBI against the Royals on Thursday.



      Advice: Jeffers continues to carry the Twins offense. The two-homer game puts him at 12 on the season now. Jeffers is hitting .254 with an .886 OPS on the year. As far as second catchers go, it doesn’t get much better than what he’s provided so far this season.

      Rays manager Kevin Cash said Thursday that Lowe (oblique) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Durham this weekend and hopes to be activated from the 10-day injured list Tuesday versus the Marlins, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

      Advice: Last week, Lowe made his second trip to the IL this season with a right oblique strain. The strain was deemed mild, allowing him to resume baseball activities ahead of this weekend's rehab assignment.
