• Slugs two homers
Hays went 2-for-4 with two home runs in Monday's 7-2 win over Toronto, finishing with three RBI and two runs scored.

Advice: Hays hit his first home run of the season, even slugging a second to record his sixth career multi-home run game. The 28-year-old hit both of his home runs off Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman, launching a two-run shot in the fourth inning and a solo home run in the seventh. Hays has seen inconsistent playing time over the past two weeks but he is starting to heat up, batting 5-for-9 with three extra-base hits over his past three appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 12:14 am
  • Goes deep again
Ramos went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in Monday's 4-2 loss to the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Ramos has homered in back-to-back games, and his blast Monday tied the contest at 2-2 in the seventh inning. He's gone 5-for-13 over three games to begin June after batting .280 in May following his call-up to the big-league roster. Ramos is slashing .295/.361/.477 with four homers, 17 RBI, 10 runs scored, four doubles and one stolen base over 24 contests this season. He saw a fairly steady run in left field while Michael Conforto was out with a hamstring injury, but Ramos looks poised to challenge Mike Yastrzemski for the starting job in right field after Conforto was activated from the injured list Monday. • Swipes bag Monday
Herrera went 2-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in Monday's 7-4 loss to the Astros.

Advice: Herrera's two steals this year have come over his last eight games. The catcher has gone 8-for-31 (.258) in that span, but he has just two extra-base hits, one RBI and one run scored. For the season, he's batting .269 with a .691 OPS, three home runs, three doubles, 16 RBI and 15 runs scored over 150 plate appearances. While there hasn't been a lot of power in his bat, Herrera has hit well enough to maintain the starting job over Pedro Pages while Willson Contreras (forearm) remains out. • Pavin Smith hits walkoff homer for D-backs
Pinch-hitter Pavin Smith hit a two-run homer off Randy Rodriguez in the bottom of the ninth to give the Diamondbacks a 4-2 win over the Giants on Monday.

Advice: Smith’s 424-foot shot to center would have been a double had it turned a few inches to the left, but that still would have been enough to win the game. It was Smith’s second homer in 50 plate appearances this season and 30th in 1,144 trips to the plate since he debuted in 2020. He’s probably in line for a demotion to Triple-A once Alek Thomas comes off the IL, but the Diamondbacks were certainly happy to have him around tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:49 pm

  • Heliot Ramos goes 2-for-4, homers in defeat
Heliot Ramos went 2-for-4 and hit his fourth homer Monday against the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The Giants lose some defense by playing Ramos over Luis Matos or Mike Yastrzemski with Michael Conforto back, but it’s going to be worth it for as long as Ramos remains hot. He’s batting .295/.361/.477 in 97 plate appearances, and while he’s not going to maintain that average, there’s a lot to like about his exit velocity numbers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:49 pm
  • Launches fifth homer
Gallo went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 8-7 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Gallo launched his fifth home run of the season, but he has seen his playing time decrease over the past week. The 30-year-old has started just four of the past seven contests following a streak of 10-consecutive starts. Gallo will need to clean up his dismal .156 average and 45 percent strikeout rate to garner consistent playing time moving forward. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:21 pm

  • Luis Guillorme delivers go-ahead sac fly for Halos
Luis Guillorme came off the bench to deliver a go-ahead sac fly in the bottom of the eighth as the Angels edged the Padres 2-1 on Monday.

Advice: For some reason, the Angels bypassed the squeeze opportunity with Guillorme up, a man on third and one out in the eighth. Guillorme instead delivered a ball deep enough into center field to plate Jo Adell from third. It was his second RBI in 15 games with the Angels. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:19 pm

  • Powers offense with solo shots
Rogers went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs in Monday's 2-1 win over the Rangers.

Advice: Rogers had half of Detroit's hits and provided all of the team's offense in the narrow win. The catcher is now up to four home runs across 38 games this season, and this was his first multi-homer effort. He has some work to do to match the career-high 21 long balls he recorded in 2023, though as he displayed Monday, he can rack up home runs quickly when he's dialed in at the plate. • Rogers blasts two home runs in win Monday
Jake Rogers went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs against the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: The home runs were all the offense the Tigers would get in their 2-1 victory. Rogers now has four home runs and his ISO is up to .150 on the season. He had a .224 ISO last year and his career ISO is .194. Rogers is hitting .230 and he’ll have to pick up the power pace if he wants to repeat the 21 home runs he hit last year.
