    Advice: After surrendering five or more runs in three straight starts, Crochet snapped out of the funk and only allowed the Twins to score on a two-run homer by Carlos Santana in the second frame. Crochet also had strong command, walking just one batter after yielding seven walks and two hit-by-pitches in his last three outings. Although Crochet has been inconsistent to kick off 2024, his strikeout stuff has been elite, boasting the second most K's in baseball. He's lined up for a Saturday start against the Cardinals.     Miller allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out 10 batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Atlanta on Monday.

    Advice: Miller racked up 17 whiffs en route to a season-high 10 punchouts while mostly silencing a potent Atlanta offense. However, opposing starter Max Fried was even better with six hitless frames, and Miller actually departed in line for the loss after giving up a run in the seventh. He was taken off the hook, though, when Mitch Garver belted a walk-off homer in the ninth inning. The outing was Miller's fourth quality start over his past five appearances, and he's given up just four earned runs across 30.1 frames during that span.     James Paxton won Monday despite giving up four runs and walking five in five innings Monday against the Diamondbacks.

    Advice: Paxton has been oddly wild this year, and his velocity has been down 1.5-2 mph from last season. He’s still at least a streaming option in mixed leagues anyway, but he’s not throwing as well as his 3-0 record and 3.51 ERA suggests, and he’ll almost certainly wind up on the IL at some point.     Advice: Although Ryan tallied his lowest strikeout total of the campaign, he cashed in on his fourth quality start of his last five appearances. After yielding a pair of home runs to the White Sox in his last start, Ryan limited the team to just one extra-base hit on the day. He owns a 1.3 BB/9 through 34.2 innings in 2024, another improvement after posting a 2.9 BB/9 in 2022 and a 1.9 BB/9 in 2023. While he's yet to go deeper than four frames this season, Rodriguez owns a 4.11 ERA and a 1.76 WHIP on the year. The veteran righty has yet to yield multiple earned runs through three starts, owning an impressive 1.50 ERA. However, he's only been able to punch out nine batters in his 18.0 innings of work. Individually, Severino took a no-hitter into the eighth. However, Severino's efforts were for naught as Edwin Diaz surrendered a pair of runs in the ninth inning, leading to the Cubs' win. After posting a career-worst 6.65 ERA across 89.1 innings in 2023, Severino boasts a 2.31 ERA through 35.0 innings in his first season with the Metropolitans.
