• Witt Jr. triples home tying run, scores winner
Bobby WItt Jr. went 3-for-5 with an RBI triple to help the Royals to a 10-9 win over the Mariners on Friday.

Advice: Superstar gonna superstar. With the Royals trailing 9-8, Witt Jr. spanked a triple down the left-field line to score the tying run, and he scored on a fielder’s choice to give Kansas City the win in a game they trailed 7-0 after the top half of the first inning. Witt Jr. has tripled seven time while driving in 47 runs, and remains as good — if not better — than any fantasy option at his or any other position. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:09 pm
  • Brayan Rocchio hits first major league homer
Brayan Rocchio supplied both Guardians runs with his first big-league homeer Friday in a loss to the Marlins.

Advice: The homer came in his 276th career plate appearance. He has 192 so far this year, and he’s driven in a total of 11 runs. On the plus side, his defensive numbers have improved in recent weeks, and thanks to a fine 12% walk ate, his .314 OBP isn’t dreadful. Still, it’s hard to see where the fantasy upside might come from here. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:13 pm
  • Corey Seager (hamstring) unavailable Friday
Corey Seager will not be available off the bench Friday after leaving Wednesday’s game with a hamstring strain.

Advice: Seager has avoided the IL for now and is considered day-to-day. The Rangers have Josh Smith at shortstop and Ezequiel Duran at third base tonight. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:33 pm

  • Not starting Friday
Seager (hamstring) is out of the lineup for Friday's game against the Giants.

Advice: The hamstring injury that caused Seager's departure from Wednesday's matchup with the Tigers is considered minor, but he'll still be out of the starting nine for at least one game. The 30-year-old is still on Texas' lineup card as a bench player, per Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News, and he isn't expected to require a trip to the injured list. Josh Smith will shift to shortstop while Ezequiel Duran receives a start at the hot corner. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:59 pm

  • Rays activate INF Walls from 60-day IL
Rays activated INF Taylor Walls from the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Tampa Bay designated Harold Ramirez for assignment to make room for Walls, who has been on the injured list all season as he recovered from offseason hip surgery. Walls figures to come off the bench for the Rays and see most of his playing time against left-handed pitching. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:06 am

  • Activated from 60-day IL
The Rays activated Walls (hip) from the 60-day injured list Friday, Tricia Whitaker of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: Walls has been out all season following offseason hip surgery and had his recovery delayed due to inflammation in the hip. However, he recently got back up to speed during a five-game rehab stint with Triple-A Durham, going 8-for-21 at the plate. Walls could take some playing time away from Jose Caballero at shortstop while working in a utility role. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:00 am

  • Serves as DH on rehab assignment
Perdomo started at designated hitter and went 1-for-4 with an RBI for Triple-A Reno on Thursday.

Advice: Perdomo, who played seven innings at shortstop Wednesday, was in the lineup for a second straight day but got replaced by a pinch hitter after eight innings. Perdomo will continue his rehab assignment through the weekend for Reno and could rejoin the Diamondbacks next week. Arizona begins a homestand Tuesday against the Angels. • Smashes three-run homer
De La Cruz went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run Thursday in an 8-4 victory against the Cubs.

Advice: De La Cruz, on the one-year anniversary of his MLB debut, turned a two-run Reds deficit into a one-run lead with a three-run blast in the third frame. The long ball was his second in three contests following a season-long 21-game homer drought. After tallying 13 homers and 35 steals over 98 games as a rookie last season, De La Cruz is nearing those marks with 11 long balls and 32 thefts through 63 contests in 2024. • Two steals in win
Witt went 1-for-4 with a walk and two stolen bases in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Guardians.

Advice: Witt has gone 13-for-31 (.419) with 10 RBI and three steals during his seven-game hitting streak. While he didn't score Thursday, he was active on the basepaths for his third multi-steal game of the season. The shortstop is up to a .317/.371/.560 slash line with 19 thefts, 11 home runs, 46 RBI and 54 runs scored through 63 games this season. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:30 pm
