• Goes deep in win
Rooker went 1-for-3 with a two-run homer in Friday's win over the Marlins.

Advice: Rooker opened the scoring Friday night, crushing a titanic 440-foot homer off Ryan Weathers in the fourth inning to give Oakland the lead. Despite sporting a .211 batting average, the Athletics designated hitter has provided plenty of power with six homers while slugging .507. Rooker may be heating up along with the spring weather as he's hit .269 (7-for-26) with two homers and eight RBI over his last eight games. Rotowire.com 4 minutes ago

  • Ryan O’Hearn hits two-run homer versus Reds
Ryan O’Hearn went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer versus the Reds on Friday.

Advice: O’Hearn legitimately looks like one of the AL’s best hitters right now, no matter how ludicrous such a statement would have been a year or two ago. That he doesn’t play versus lefties limits his fantasy value, but it’s probably time for the Orioles to try him against southpaws. Rotoworld 14 minutes ago

  • Jake Cronenworth homer helps Padres top D-Backs
Jake Cronenworth went 3-for-5 with a homer and two doubles in a victory over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Cronenworth swatted one of three homers for the Padres on Friday, with his being a solo shot off Slade Cecconi. Cronenworth has shown solid power to begin the 2024 season, as he’s up to six homers, nine doubles and a .516 slugging percentage through 122 at-bats. It’s certainly understandable to be skeptical considering that the 30-year-old hasn’t slugged above .400 over the last two seasons, but the results are awfully promising right now. • Manny Machado swats two-run HR in victory
Manny Machado hit a two-run homer in a victory over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Machado extended the Padres’ lead to 7-0 with a two-run shot in the fifth. The third baseman also drew a walk, and it helps his improve his slash to .250/.306/.403 over 124 at-bats. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
  • Fernando Tatis Jr. homers, drives in three in win
Fernando Tatis Jr. went 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBI in a 7-1 win Friday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The Padres were able to hit three homers Friday in the easy win, and Tatis Jr. swatted the first of those roundtrippers with a two-run shot in the fourth. The 25-year-old star also singled home a run in the fifth, and he’s up to seven homers and 20 RBI over the first month-plus. It’s nice to see Tatis Jr. remind early just how impressive of a talent he is. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
  • Vidal steals two bags, doubles twice in loss
Vidal Bruján doubled twice and stole two bases in a loss to the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: Bruján drove in the only run of the game for the Marlins in the ninth with a double off Lucas Erceg. The pair of two-baggers with a single now have Bruján slashing .298/.377/.447, and the swipes are his first of the season. Especially with Luis Arraez heading to San Diego, Bruján should continue to see a lot of playing time, and so far he’s taken advantage of his run. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Brent Rooker swats homer as A’s top Marlins
Brent Rooker hit a two-run homer to help the A’s to a win Friday over the Marlins.

Advice: Rooker absolutely scorched a two-run blast off Ryan Weathers to center, with the ball travelling an estimated 440 feet. That’s the sixth-homer of the season for the right-hander, and he’s up to 15 RBI over the A’s first 32 games. The average (.211) and stolen bases (1) leave much to be desired, but Rooker can certainly provide some pop. Rotoworld 39 minutes ago

  • Rafael Devers doubles twice versus Twins
Rafael Devers doubled twice, drove in Boston’s only two runs and walked Friday against the Twins.

Advice: The second double, hit 409 feet to center, would have been a homer in 20 ballparks, according to Statcast. Devers is off to a very good start at .300/.429/.500, but he has just 10 RBI in 98 plate appearances. Rotoworld 50 minutes ago

  • Mickey Moniak swats three-run homer to lead Halos
Mickey Moniak swatted a three-run homer on Friday night, powering the Angels to a 6-0 victory over the Guardians in Cleveland.

Advice: Moniak delivered the biggest blow of the game, launching a two-out, 411-foot (109.9 mph EV) three-run shot on the first pitch that he saw from Tanner Bibee in the fourth inning — increasing the Angels’ lead to 5-0. Moniak also singled in the ballgame, finishing the night 2-for-4. On the season, the 25-year-old outfielder is now hitting .164/.211/.269 with a pair of homers and seven RBI. Rotoworld Today, 8:34 pm
