• Launches third homer
Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Hernandez has homered twice in his last six games, though both have been solo shots as well as his only RBI in that span. The utility man is slashing just .216/.287/.320 with three homers, eight RBI, seven runs scored and no stolen bases over 108 plate appearances this season. Hernandez has started five straight games at third base since Max Muncy (oblique) exited the lineup, so it appears Hernandez has a path to steady playing time for now. • Slugs grand slam in win
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: The homer was Freeman's first since May 11 and his third in May. He gave the Dodgers the lead in the third inning, and they never looked back. Freeman is up to five long balls, 29 RBI, 31 runs scored, one stolen base and a .298/.409/.464 slash line through 50 contests. He's not hitting for as much power as he did last year, when he racked up 29 homers, 59 doubles and a .567 slugging percentage, but there's little to complain about from what the first baseman's provided so far in 2024. • Goes yard in win
Schanuel went 2-for-5 with a three-run home run and an additional run scored in Monday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

Advice: Schanuel's three-run blast in the fifth inning sparked a big rally from the Angels. Entering Monday, the first baseman had gone 0-for-11 over his last three games. He's up to five homers, 18 RBI, 15 runs scored, three doubles and a .232/.306/.351 slash line through 172 plate appearances this season. Schanuel is not being strictly platooned, but he's not an everyday player at first base, though he is seeing a majority of the reps there. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:23 pm
  • Freddie Freeman delivers grand slam in victory
Freddie Freeman went 2-for-4 and hit a grand slam Monday as the Dodgers down the Diamondbacks 6-4.

Advice: The Dodgers scored all of their runs in the third, an inning that also featured homers from Kiké Hernandez and Will Smith. Freeman’s slam was the sixth of his career. He actually went his first 10 seasons without one, but he’s been playing catchup after finally collecting his first in Sept. 2020. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:23 pm
  • Picks up steal Monday
Goldschmidt went 0-for-4 with a walk, a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 6-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Goldschmidt's hitting streak came to an end at eight games, but he was still able to provide a contribution in his lone trip on base Monday. The first baseman's streak has helped to get him out of deep slump, though he's still hitting just .209 on the season. He's added a meager .592 OPS with four home runs, 16 RBI, 23 runs scored and three steals over 198 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:04 pm
  • Gets aboard three times in win
Burleson went 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and one run scored in Monday's 6-3 win over the Orioles.

Advice: Burleson upped his hitting streak to six games (12-for-25), and five of those contests have been multi-hit efforts. He also has two homers, two steals, four RBI and six runs scored in that span. Burleson isn't known for his speed -- he's at two steals in 2024, one shy of last year's mark, which he achieved in 107 games. The outfielder has added a strong .301/.333/.472 slash line with five home runs, 17 RBI, 11 runs scored and six doubles over 129 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:01 pm

  • Nolan Schanuel hits three-run homer in Angels’ win
Nolan Schanuel went 2-for-5 and hit a three-run homer Monday as the Angels outlasted the Astros 9-7.

Advice: Schanuel’s exit velocity numbers aren’t the least bit impressive, but he’s having enough success pulling flyballs that he’s now hit five homers, even though his longest drive of the year is 381 feet. We still wouldn’t want to roster him in mixed leagues at the moment, but it bodes well for the future. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:24 pm
  • Yainer Diaz does 2-for-4, scores twice in loss
Yainer Diaz went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI against the Angels on Monday.

Advice: Diaz was also robbed of a possible homer by Jo Adell at the right field wall in the ninth. That was actually his softest hit ball of the night. His EVs in the game were 110.7 mph, 107.8 mph, 103.7 mph and 98.4 mph. His hard-hit rate now stands at 51%, which is particularly impressive in combination with a 14% strikeout rate. • Perez blasts ninth home run Monday
Salvador Perez went 2-for-4 with a solo home run against the Tigers on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Perez’ ninth of the season. It came in the sixth inning off Tigers reliever Joey Wentz. Perez is now 16-for-41 (.390) against left-handed pitchers this season. He’s hitting an incredible .341 overall. The 34-year-old is a career .269 hitter and has never even hit .300 in a single-season where he’s played at least 100 games.
