    • Ty France (heel) to take BP before Sunday’s game
Ty France (heel) ran the bases before Sunday’s game against the Rangers.

Advice: France will also take part in batting practice prior to the game. The 29-year-old has been on the shelf since last Sunday with a fracture in his right heel. The infielder has a chance to return in the next few days if he continues to make progress, and likely won’t need a rehab assignment. Rotoworld Today, 11:17 am

    • Gerrit Cole could start Wednesday against Orioles
Gerrit Cole (elbow) could make his season debut Wednesday against the Orioles.

Advice: The Yankees announced their rotation for the series against Baltimore. Kind of. Tuesday’s starter will be Nestor Cortes, and Thursday will be Luis Gil. Wednesday has a TBD by it, and it seems possible — if not probable — that it’ll be Cole returning to the rotation. The 2023 Cy Young winner has looked the part in his rehab starts, and while there could be some precautions taken, there’s every reason to believe he’ll be just as fantasy relevant over these three-plus months of 2024. • First career steal in loss
Locklear went 0-for-3 with a walk and a stolen base in a loss to the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: The rookie was able to reach safely for the fourth consecutive game despite not getting a hit for the first time in that span, and he parlayed his one trip on the basepaths into his first career big-league steal. Locklear is still having trouble making consistent contact as he acclimates to major-league arms -- he's struck out at a massive 40.0 percent clip in his first 25 plate appearances -- but his impressive body of work at the plate over multiple levels of the minors suggests he has the ability to progressively turn things around in that department. • Sitting Sunday
Jansen is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Guardians.

Advice: Alejandro Kirk will take over behind the plate after Jansen started the first two games of the series. Jansen enjoyed a hot month of May, but his bat has gone cold to begin June; he's just 5-for-35 with two extra-base hits (both doubles) in 11 games so far this month. • Bryse Wilson effective as follower in win
Bryse Wilson threw 5 1/3 innings as a bulk reliever in a win over the Reds on Saturday, striking out six and walking two.

Advice: Wilson didn’t miss many bats with just five whiffs on 33 swings for a 15 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW. He didn’t allow an extra-base hit on the day and now carries a 3.84 ERA into a game against the Padres next week. He’ll be more interesting in fantasy leagues if he continues to operate as a bulk reliever, but he’ll still be tough to trust against in that one. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:29 pm

    • Earns victory in bulk-relief role
Wilson (4-3) earned the win over Cincinnati on Saturday, pitching 5.1 scoreless innings during which he allowed three hits and two walks while striking out six batters.

Advice: Milwaukee opted to have Jared Koenig open the contest, and he notched two outs before Wilson entered with a runner on first base in the first inning. The right-hander closed that frame successfully, then kept the Reds off the scoreboard for five more innings before turning the game over to the bullpen. Wilson's excellent outing earned him his first victory since May 24. After opening the campaign in the bullpen, Wilson has been bouncing between a traditional starting role and bulk relief lately, and in either capacity he's pitched pretty well, giving up three or fewer earned runs in all but one of his 17 appearances this season. • Brandon Nimmo has two hits, two RBI in win
Brandon Nimmo went 2-for-5 with a double and two RBI in a win over the Padres.

Advice: Nimmo got the scoring going with an RBI double in the fourth inning and then tacked on an extra run with an RBI single in the eighth. It’s been a tough year for the 31-year-old, but he has two hits in each of the two games against the Padres, so perhaps he can turn it into a much better summer. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:36 pm
    • Homers twice in win
Santander went 2-for-2 with two home runs and four RBI in a 6-2 win over the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Santander tied the game on a solo home run in the fourth inning then gave the Orioles the lead on a sacrifice fly in the sixth. He later added a two-run homer in the eighth. Santander continued his June power binge; he's homered eight times in 15 contests this month. On the season, Santander is now slashing .231/.307/.498 with 17 home runs and 42 RBI while hitting in the heart of one of the league's best lineups. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:53 pm

    • Has Grade 2 hamstring strain
Harris has a Grade 2 left hamstring strain and there isn't a timetable for his return, David O'Brien of The Athletic reports Saturday.

Advice: Harris was placed on the 10-day injured list Saturday after sustaining a strained hamstring in Friday's game against the Rays. An MRI revealed that Harris' strain is Grade 2, which means he'll likely be sidelined for more than the minimum 10 days. Ramon Laureano was called up to take Harris' 26-man roster spot.
