    • Smacks sixth homer
Joe went 1-for-3 with a walk, a solo home run and two runs scored Tuesday against the Brewers.

Advice: Joe returned to the lineup after sitting Monday and has started nine of Pittsburgh's 12 games in May. He's hit .294 with three home runs, seven runs scored and seven RBI in that span, and he lifted his sixth long ball of the season Monday. Joe should continue to get regular run at both first base and in right field as one of the Pirates' more productive hitters. Rotowire.com Today, 7:18 am

    • Snaps power drought Tuesday
Harris went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Tuesday's 7-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: The 23-year-old center fielder snapped a 20-game homer drought by taking Jameson Taillon deep in the fourth inning, kicking off a six-run frame that blew the game wide open. Harris is just one of a number of Atlanta hitters who have had sluggish starts to the season -- Tuesday's long ball was his first extra-base hit of any kind since April 26 -- but he may be heating up, as he has five hits and two walks in the last four games, lifting his slash line on the year to .260/.305/.390. • Alec Burleson homers, doubles in Cardinals’ win
Alec Burleson finished 3-for-5 with a two-run homer and a double as the Cardinals edged the Angels 7-6 on Tuesday.

Advice: It was rather surprising that Burleson was even in the lineup tonight, as he was making just his fourth start against a left-handed pitcher. The strong showing puts him up to .272/.306/.437 this season, and while that might not be overly exciting, his .743 OPS is tops on the Cardinals, at least once one excludes the .950 mark posted by Willson Contreras before he got hurt. Burleson remains an iffy played in mixed leagues, but it’d be no surprise if he remains one of the best bats on a subpar offense. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:24 pm

    • Stellar in Tuesday's win
Burleson went 3-for-5 with a two-run home run, a double, a stolen base and two total runs scored in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the Angels.

Advice: Burleson has gone 9-for-24 (.375) over his last seven games, with five of his hits in that span going for extra bases. He also picked up his first steal of the campaign in Tuesday's win. The 25-year-old is up to a .272/.306/.437 slash line with four homers, 15 RBI, seven runs scored and five doubles over 108 plate appearances. He's operated in a strong-side platoon role for much of the season, but it's encouraging to note that two of his three hits Tuesday, including his homer, came against left-handed pitchers. With both Dylan Carlson and Lars Nootbaar under the Mendoza line, there could be an opportunity for Burleson to see more consistent playing time, especially since he's been in the lineup against the last three southpaws the Cardinals have faced. • Michael Harris II homers in win over Cubs
Michael Harris II went 1-for-3 with a home run and a walk in a win over the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Harris hit a solo shot off of Jameson Taillon in the fourth inning that traveled 426 feet and left the bat at 106.7 mph. It was his fourth home run and 15th RBI of the season. The 23-year-old is one of quite a few Braves hitters who aren’t living up to their typical production early in the season. Still, there is nothing under the hood that suggests Harris is struggling, and he should be in for a solid summer ahead. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:49 pm
    • Could return Friday
Carter (back) received a cortisone injection and is out of the lineup Tuesday against the Guardians, and he could rejoin the lineup Friday versus the Angels, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning Newsreports.

Advice: The 21-year-old hasn't seen the field since Saturday and was diagnosed with lower-back inflammation after an MRI on Monday. He'll now be unavailable for at least a couple more days following the injection. Ezequiel Duran is receiving another start in left field Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:36 pm

    • Evan Carter (back) not in Tuesday’s lineup
Evan Carter (back) is absent from the lineup for Tuesday’s contest against the Guardians.

Advice: Carter is targeting a return to the Rangers’ lineup later this week after receiving a cortisone injection on Wednesday to address lower back inflammation. The 21-year-old outfielder appears likely to avoid the injured list, barring something unexpected, and should be ready to roll at some point in a couple days. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:42 pm

    • Doubles, triples, drives in three
Rosario went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBI and a run scored during Monday's win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Rosario's two-out, two-run triple in the first put the Rays on the board while his run-scoring double in the eighth provided the Rays with their final margin of victory. Rosario has found a regular role as the top utility man for Tampa, batting .296 with a .312 on-base percentage, six doubles, three triples, two homers, 18 RBI, 12 runs and five stolen bases over 138 plate appearances. • Receiving cortisone shot
Carter's MRI revealed inflammation in his lower back, and he'll get a cortisone shot Tuesday, Jeff Wilson of RangersToday.com reports.

Advice: He could be back in the lineup within a few days if all goes well following the cortisone injection, per Wilson. Carter's absence has allowed for Ezequiel Duran to find everyday work while moving around the diamond, and Robbie Grossman also recently picked up a start in left field. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:18 pm
