    • Fills stat sheet in loss
Garcia went 4-for-5 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in a 7-6 loss to the Cardinals on Friday.

Advice: Garcia hit an RBI single in the first inning, a solo home run in the third and another single in the eighth. He later added another base hit and stole second in the 10th frame. The 24-year-old followed up a two-homer game July 3 with his second four-hit effort of the season. While he still continues to sit against left-handed pitching, Garcia is hitting .271 with 10 homers, 42 RBI, 29 runs scored and 12 steals in a quietly productive 2024. • Notches 12th save
Yates struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning and earned a save over Tampa Bay.

Advice: Yates tossed 11 of 16 pitches for strikes as he cruised through the Rays' 9-1-2 hitters for the save. He's converted each of his 12 save chances this season, though Friday's was his first since June 19. The veteran righty owns a stifling 0.89 ERA with a 43:14 K:BB through 30.1 innings. • Masataka Yoshida hits game-tying homer in ninth
Masataka Yoshida went 1-for-4 with a dramatic two-run home run in a 5-3 win for the Red Sox over the Yankees on Friday.

Advice: This was a great moment for Yoshida in what’s been a disastrous season. Down to his final strike, he took Clay Holmes deep to push this game to extra innings where the Red Sox would eventually win it. It was Yoshida’s first homer since April 20th as a thumb strain kept him out for about six weeks. Still, he’s started against every right-handed pitcher since returning from the IL and is 8-for-22 over his last five games. Rotoworld 30 minutes ago
    • Luis García Jr. with four hits, home run
Luis García Jr. went 4-for-5 with a homer, two RBI, a run scored, a stolen base, and was caught stealing on Friday against the Cardinals.

Advice: García was a menace in this one. He had three of the Nationals’ six hardest hit balls and hit four over 99 MPH himself. He now has six hits, three homers, four runs scored, and six RBI over his last two games. A hot streak could be on the way. Rotoworld Today, 7:26 pm

    • Monster performance in win
Reynolds went 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI and three runs scored in a 14-2 win over the Mets on Friday.

Advice: Reynolds gave the Pirates the lead on a two-run home run in the fifth inning then broke things open with a grand slam in the seventh. He hit .330 with six homers in June and has carried his power stroke into July with three long balls and eight RBI through four games. On the year, the outfielder is hitting .280 with 16 home runs, 54 RBI, 39 runs scored and five steals over 390 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 6:56 pm

    • Two homers, five RBI in win
Tellez went 2-for-4 with two home runs and five RBI in a 14-2 win over the Mets on Friday.

Advice: Tellez got the Pirates on the board with a solo homer in the fourth inning and added a grand slam in the eighth. The first baseman has been on fire, homering five times with four multi-hit efforts over his past 10 games. He has just two hits against left-handed pitching this year but is hitting a solid .262 with seven home runs and 28 RBI over 202 plate appearances against righties. Rotowire.com Today, 6:55 pm

    • Bryan Reynolds homers from both sides of plate
Bryan Reynolds went 4-for-5 with two home runs, six RBI, and two runs scored on Friday against the Mets.

Advice: Reynolds was all over the Mets in this one. His two-run homer in the fifth inning pulled the Pirates ahead and his seventh inning grand slam broke this game open. It was the second time in his career he’s homered from both sides of the plate in the same game and he pulled his OPS up to .831 with 16 homers and 54 RBI. He is a perpetually underrated stud. • Homers in win
Suzuki went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in a 5-1 win over the Angels on Friday.

Advice: Suzuki got the scoring started Friday with a two-run home run off Griffin Canning in the first inning. The 29-year-old has now homered four times over his past 10 games with eight RBI and eight runs scored. He has been a solid contributor across the board in 2024, hitting .262 with 12 home runs, 36 RBI, 36 runs scored and eight steals over 275 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Today, 1:59 pm

    • Snaps slump with three hits
Verdugo went 3-for-4 with two doubles in Thursday's loss to Cincinnati.

Advice: Verdugo entered Thursday in the throes of a 12-game slump during which he went 6-for-47 (.128 average). The outfielder showed positive signs of getting back on track against the Reds, not only collecting three knocks but also producing two extra-base hits -- as many as he had tallied during that entire 12-game downturn. While Verdugo is on pace to set a career high in homers and RBI this season (he has nine long balls and 43 runs batted in through 85 games), his .248 batting average and .305 OBP are both on pace for his lowest marks since his 15-game cup of coffee with the Dodgers in 2017.
