• Delivers six shutout frames
Priester struck out six and gave up three hits and one walk over six scoreless innings during Friday's 3-0 loss in San Francisco. He didn't factor in the decision.

Advice: Priester and Giants starter Kyle Harrison each delivered six shutout frames, and the game remained a scoreless tie until Patrick Bailey's walk-off homer in the ninth. Priester surrendered three homers in his season debut versus Boston last week, but he looked much better Friday with 14 whiffs on 84 pitches (58 strikes). The strong performance should give the 23-year-old another turn through the rotation while Marco Gonzales remains sidelined by a forearm injury. Rotowire.com Today, 1:53 am
  • Fires six scoreless innings
Harrison didn't factor in the decision Friday against the Pirates after he struck out seven and allowed five hits and no walks across six scoreless innings.

Advice: Harrison generated 13 swinging strikes on 93 pitches as he gave up fewer than three earned runs in a start for the first time since his season debut. The right-hander missed out on his third win, however, as the Giants didn't score until Patrick Bailey's walk-off, three-run homer in the ninth. Harrison has a 4.09 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 31:5 K:BB over 33 innings through five starts this season. Rotowire.com Today, 1:47 am
  • Nathan Eovaldi doesn’t let walks get him down
Despite walking five, Nathan Eovaldi allowed just one run over six innings Friday against the Reds.

Advice: All three hits Eovaldi allowed were singles, and he struck out eight. Eovaldi wasn’t involved in the decision, so he remains 1-2 with a 3.00 ERA through six starts. He’s due to face the Nationals next. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm
  • Graham Ashcroft works into seventh in no-decision
Graham Ashcraft pitched 6 1/3 innings of one-run ball against the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Ashcraft allowed seven hits, but since he walked none, only the Evan Carter homer did damage. He has a 4.40 ERA after five starts, and he probably deserves better, what with his 26/7 K/BB and strong groundball rate. He’s a fringy mixed-league option, but he’s a big key as far as the Reds’ chances of contending this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:22 pm
  • Takes first loss
Crawford (1-1) took the loss Friday against the Cubs, allowing four runs (three earned) on 10 hits over six innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Crawford allowed a season-high 10 hits Friday, though he'd still manage to make it through six innings for a second straight quality start. It's the first time that Crawford's allowed more than one run in a start this year -- he now sports an impressive 1.35 ERA with a 1.11 WHIP and 34:11 K:BB across six starts (33.1 innings). He's currently in line for a home matchup with the Giants in his next outing. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:10 pm

  • Falls to 1-4
Sandoval (1-4) allowed four runs (three earned) on nine hits over 5.2 innings Friday, striking out four and taking a loss against Minnesota.

Advice: Sandoval coughed up a solo homer to Carlos Santana in the second inning and the Twins continued to tack on runs throughout the night. Over his last four starts, Sandoval has gone 0-3 while yielding 14 earned runs over 19.2 innings. He generated 13 swinging strikes Friday, his second-highest total of the season. Sandoval will carry a 6.33 ERA into his next matchup, which is projected to be at home against the Phillies next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:06 pm
  • Notches second win
Ober (2-1) allowed two runs on three this and three walks over 7.1 innings Friday, striking out eight and earning a win over the Angels.

Advice: Ober fired five shutout frames before the Angels broke through with a run in the sixth inning. After he was throttled for eight runs in his season debut, the 28-year-old righty has given up just four runs over his last four starts, dropping his ERA down to 4.21 through 25.2 innings. He's also posted an impressive 24:6 K:BB through 24.1 frames over his last four outings. Ober is currently in line for a road matchup with the White Sox next week, where he has a good chance to continue riding this momentum. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm
  • Improves to 4-0
Imanaga (4-0) earned the win Friday over the Red Sox, allowing one run on five hits and one walk across 6.1 innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: It was another strong outing from Imanaga, with Boston's lone run coming on a Tyler O'Neill solo homer in the fourth inning. It's safe to say the 30-year-old southpaw has exceeded expectations thus far -- Imanaga's yet to allow more than two earned runs in a start, as his ERA now sits at a stellar 0.98 with a 0.80 WHIP and 28:3 K:BB across five outings (27.2 innings). He's currently slated for a road matchup with the Mets in his next start. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 pm
  • Kyle Harrison holds Pirates off board over six
Kyle Harrison blanked the Pirates over six innings Friday with seven strikeouts, but didn’t qualify for a decision.

Advice: Harrison gets a hard-luck no-decision because the Giants were unable to score a run while he was in the contest. The southpaw didn’t walk anyone while scattering five hits in one of his best starts an MLB hurler. Harrison will have some ups-and-downs as a 22-year-old in his first full season of action, but there’s a chance for the ups to outweigh those downs. He’ll look to build on this against the Red Sox on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:51 pm
