• Day off Saturday
Langeliers is not in the starting lineup Saturday versus the Twins.

Advice: Langeliers will get a breather after he went 4-for-13 with a grand slam and five RBI while starting the last three contests. Kyle McCann will take over behind the plate and bat eighth against Minnesota. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:19 am

  • Belts grand slam Friday
Langeliers went 1-for-5 with a grand slam in an extra-inning loss to the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Langeliers got the Athletics' night started on the right foot with his 408-foot shot to left center in the first inning that cleared the bases and established an early 4-0 lead. The backstop's big homer was his first since May 30, and it marked his fourth time hitting safely in the last five games. Langeliers pushed his OPS back up to .708 as well, but he's still carrying a paltry .204 average and .263 on-base percentage. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:17 am

  • Goes deep Friday
Trevino went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in an 8-1 win against Boston on Friday.

Advice: Trevino homered in his final at-bat of the contest, taking Red Sox reliever Chase Anderson deep to left field. The long ball was the catcher's second in his past two starts and his seventh overall this season, putting him well on pace to surpass the career-best mark of 11 that he established in 2022. Austin Wells entered the campaign as the slight favorite for primary catching duties with New York, but Trevino has seized that role with a strong season at the plate, as he's complemented his homer total with 18 runs, 24 RBI and a .271/.319/.434 slash line through 142 plate appearances. • Belts first homer of year
Marchan went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 5-3 extra-innings win over the Orioles.

Advice: The 25-year-old backstop took Kyle Bradish deep in the fifth inning, giving Marchan his first hit and first long ball with the Phillies this season. He's started two of four games since J.T. Realmuto (knee) was sidelined, and he could split work behind the plate fairly equally with Garrett Stubbs unless one of them seizes the starting job. • Henry Davis exits Friday with possible concussion
Henry Davis was removed from Friday’s game against the Rockies with concussion-like symptoms.

Advice: Davis will continue to be monitored over the weekend and it’s possible he’ll require at least a precautionary trip to the 7-day concussion injured list to allow Pittsburgh to bring in some emergency catching depth. The 24-year-old former top prospect, who was a popular sleeper candidate this spring in fantasy drafts, has gone 2-for-17 with one homer and 11 strikeouts in six games since returning from Triple-A Indianapolis back on June 4. There should be an update on his status at some point this weekend. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:56 am

  • Shea Langeliers belts first career grand slam
Shea Langeliers belted the first grand slam of his big-league career on Friday night, unfortunately it came in a losing effort against the Twins.

Advice: The 26-year-old backstop got the Athletics’ offense started with a bang on Friday night, tagging Simeon Woods Richardson for a 408-foot (102.8 mph EV) four-run blast on the first pitch that he saw in the first inning. That would be hit only hit on the night, finishing the evening 1-for-5. Rotoworld Friday, 8:44 pm

  • Exits with concussion-like symptoms
Davis was removed from Friday's game against the Rockies after exhibiting concussion-like symptoms.

Advice: It's unclear when exactly Davis might have suffered an injury, but he was replaced behind the dish by Yasmani Grandal ahead of the seventh inning. Davis is in the process of being evaluated by the Pirates' medical staff. Rotowire.com Friday, 8:14 pm

  • Hits first career homer
Pages went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Pages opened the scoring with his first career homer, taking Hayden Wesneski deep in the eighth inning. This was Pages' fourth start over the Cardinals' last five games, though he's gone just 3-for-12 in that span. All of his starts have come at catcher, which has taken a chunk out of Ivan Herrera's playing time. Pages is slashing just .125/.231/.250 with seven RBI, four runs scored and one double through 39 plate appearances. With Willson Contreras (forearm) tracking toward an earlier-than-anticipated return, Pages may be on his way back to Triple-A Memphis before the end of the month. Rotowire.com Friday, 3:59 pm

  • Logs steal Friday
Herrera went 1-for-3 with a double, a walk, an RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Friday's 3-0 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Herrera is up to four steals this season, three of which he's recorded over 11 games in June. The catcher is batting .316 (12-for-38) this month, adding five doubles, seven runs scored and one RBI. For the season, he's at a steady .273/.335/.366 slash line with three home runs, 17 RBI, 22 runs scored and six doubles over 179 plate appearances. Herrera has started behind the dish just once in the last five games, though it's unclear why his playing time has dipped, as Pedro Pages has made little impact with his bat.
