    Advice: Mendick entered Tuesday's contest 1-for-14 (.071) in four games since coming off the IL. The 30-year-old delivered a two-RBI double in the eighth inning off Tim Mayza to provide the White Sox with some insurance runs. Keith came into May batting just .154 but he's pushed that up to .230, and the 22-year-old has a prospect pedigree that suggests he'll be able to sustain this level of play.     Nick Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a game-winning single in a 7-6 win over the Giants in 10 innings on Tuesday.

    Advice: The 24-year-old laced a 98 mph single off Erik Miller to score the game-winning run after David Bednar stranded the inherited runner on second in the top half of the inning. Gonzales is now hitting .282/.310/.462 with nine RBI in 11 games since being called up from Triple-A. Considering he had also made some real strides in his plate discipline at Triple-A and was hitting .358 in 30 games, Gonzales might be worth an add in deeper formats while he’s playing every day in Pittsburgh.   • Dylan Moore homers twice as Mariners down Yankees
    Dylan Moore went 3-for-4 with two home runs and four RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Yankees.

    Advice: Moore pulled a pitch on the outside black of the plate 402 feet to left field for a two-run homer to give the Mariners a lead in the top of the third. He would later single in the seventh inning to drive in Mitch Garver and homered again in the ninth, accounting for four of the Mariners’ six runs driven in on the afternoon.   • Rehabbing at High-A
    The Yankees transferred Vivas' (undisclosed) rehab assignment Tuesday from Single-A Tampa to High-A Hudson Valley.

    Advice: Vivas remains on Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre's 7-day injured list with an unspecified injury, which has prevented him from playing with the affiliate since April 24. The infielder appears to be closing in on a return to the Triple-A club, however, after going 1-for-11 with three walks and a stolen base across his four rehab appearances with Tampa last week.     Diaz (calf) appeared in back-to-back rehab games with Triple-A Las Vegas on Friday and Saturday before receiving Sunday off.

    Advice: Diaz played seven innings at third base in Friday's game against El Paso before walking in his only plate appearance as the designated hitter Saturday. There's been no report of an aggravation of the injury to explain why Diaz was in the game for such a brief time Saturday, and he was then out of the lineup Sunday before the team's off day Monday. The Aviators also saw their scheduled game against Triple-A Tacoma on Tuesday postponed due to rain, so Diaz will have had some extra rest if he does return to the lineup for the Aviators on Wednesday.
