• Steals, scores in win
Hamilton started at second base and went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Monday's 5-0 win over Tampa.

Advice: Hamilton made his fourth start in the last six games and has hit safely in five straight. Once a forgotten man on the roster -- he started just 12 times and had 50 plate appearances over 35 games after being called up April 6 -- Hamilton is 6-for-15 with four extra-base hits, three runs and three RBI during the hit streak. Vaughn Grissom (.135) has yet to establish himself as the everyday second baseman, so there is an opportunity for Hamilton to become a fantasy-relevant option. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:53 am

  • Raps out three hits
Newman went 3-for-4 with a double, one RBI and one run scored in Monday's 6-4 loss to the Dodgers.

Advice: Newman has five multi-hit efforts over his last nine games, going 15-for-31 (.484) in that span. The shortstop still isn't hitting for a lot of power, but he's been able to make decent contact. For the season, he has a .276/.311/.439 slash line with two home runs, 11 RBI, 13 runs scored, a stolen base, eight doubles and a triple over 103 plate appearances. Newman should continue to handle the starting job at shortstop at least until Geraldo Perdomo (knee) is able to return, likely in early June. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:39 pm

  • Launches third homer
Hernandez went 1-for-3 with a solo home run in Monday's 6-4 win over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Hernandez has homered twice in his last six games, though both have been solo shots as well as his only RBI in that span. The utility man is slashing just .216/.287/.320 with three homers, eight RBI, seven runs scored and no stolen bases over 108 plate appearances this season. Hernandez has started five straight games at third base since Max Muncy (oblique) exited the lineup, so it appears Hernandez has a path to steady playing time for now. Rotowire.com Monday, 11:11 pm

  • Tallies three hits Monday
Keith went 3-for-4 with a double and an RBI in Monday's 8-3 loss to the Royals.

Advice: While Keith is batting just .214 overall, he's been better in May with a .350 batting average across 14 games. It's a promising development for the rookie, who batted .306 across two levels in the minors last season. It can take young players some time to translate minor-league production into MLB success, but it seems like Keith is starting to turn the corner, and he has the talent to finish his debut campaign on a high note. • Otto Lopez contributes game-tying hit vs. Brewers
Otto Lopez hit a game-tying single in the ninth inning on Monday in the Marlins’ eventual extra-inning win over the Brewers.

Advice: Lopez came through with a clutch single to right field against Brewers closer Trevor Megill, which allowed Nick Gordon to race around and score easily from second base. The 25-year-old finds himself playing regularly for the Marlins at the moment and has come through with a solid .296/.339/.519 triple-slash line with three homers and two steals in 59 plate appearances so far. • Will be primary third baseman
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Monday that LeMahieu (foot) will be the team's primary third baseman when he returns, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: LeMahieu will be eased into everyday duty, though, after missing so much time with a right foot injury. The veteran infielder is a couple games into the resumption of his rehab assignment and isn't expected to be activated for at least another week or so. Once LeMahieu returns, Oswaldo Cabrera and Jon Berti will fill utility roles. Rotowire.com Monday, 1:30 pm

  • Otto López continues to start for Marlins at 2B
Otto López is starting for the Marlins at second base for the eighth straight game.

Advice: López has earned an everyday role since the Marlins traded Luis Arraez. The 25-year-old is hitting .300/.345/.540 with three home runs and one steal in 22 games. López is striking out just 18 percent of the time and has posted solid batting averages throughout his minor league tenure, so he could be a source of batting average and steals in deep league formats. • Reaches four times in rehab game
LeMahieu (foot) went 1-for-1 with three walks, two runs and an RBI while playing five innings at third base in Sunday's rehab appearance with Double-A Somerset.

Advice: LeMahieu had plenty of opportunities to put his right foot -- which he broke on a foul ball March 16 -- to the test Sunday given his time in the field and on the basepaths. The veteran infielder is three games into his rehab assignment and has gone 2-for-7 with three walks, two runs and an RBI thus far. Per the Associated Press, LeMahieu is slated to play back-to-back minor-league games Tuesday and Wednesday this week before playing in three consecutive contests over the weekend. He could be activated from the injured list soon thereafter. Rotowire.com Monday, 12:09 pm

  • Danny Mendick starts fourth straight games
Danny Mendick is making his fourth straight start at third base on Monday against the Blue Jays.

Advice: The 30-year-old has come off the IL and immediately stepped into an everyday role, which is interesting since he’s slashing .224/.255/.367 with a 27.5 percent strikeout rate in 13 games this season. It’s a lost season for the White Sox and Mendick is not on fantasy radars. Rotoworld Monday, 8:58 am
