      Advice: Austin Voth ran into trouble in the eighth inning, so Munoz got the call with runners on second and third and only one out to protect a 3-1 lead. The Mariners' closer did allow an inherited runner to score, but Seattle got the run right back in the bottom of the frame and Munoz dominated the ninth. It's the fourth time this season he's worked more than one inning to notch a save, and with Matt Brash (elbow) done for the year and Gregory Santos (lat) potentially not back until the All-Star break, Munoz may have to continue putting in extra work until Seattle settles on a new set-up crew.       Advice: The right-hander dealt with back tightness in his most recent start Monday against the Cubs and was lifted after five scoreless innings, but he's apparently feeling better two days later. Assuming he's able to make it out of his between-starts bullpen session without incident, Lopez shouldn't face any major workload restrictions when he toes the rubber Sunday. After spending most of the last two seasons as a reliever, Lopez has exceeded expectations with his move to a starting role in his first year in Atlanta, going 2-1 with a 1.34 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 40:16 K:BB in 40.1 innings through his first seven outings.       Andrés Muñoz slammed the door on the Royals on Wednesday afternoon, recording the final five outs to protect a two-run lead and earn his seventh save of the season.

      Advice: The 25-year-old right-hander came on with runners at second and third with one out in the eighth inning and the Mariners leading 4-1. He did allow a run to score as Bobby Witt Jr. grounded out to second base, but then Muñoz punched out Vinnie Pasquantino to end the threat. He returned for the ninth where he allowed a leadoff double to Salvador Perez but nothing more — finishing the frame with a pair of strikeouts.       Advice: It’s the first time throwing off a mound for Phillips since hitting the injured list back in early May with a Grade 1 right hamstring strain.       Munoz earned a save against the Royals on Monday, striking out three batters in 1.1 perfect innings.

      Advice: Munoz was summoned from the bullpen in the top of the eighth inning with two outs, Seattle up by two runs and the tying run at the plate. He struck out Nelson Velazquez to end the threat, then got some stress reduction when the Mariners' offense put up two runs in the bottom of the frame. From there, Munoz closed things out without incident, fanning two of the three batters he squared off against in the ninth frame. The save was his sixth of the season and first since April 30, though no other Seattle pitcher recorded a save in the meantime. Munoz has looked great since his lone blown save of the campaign April 21, tossing 9.1 scoreless frames during which he's posted a 10:1 K:BB across eight appearances. That’s the sixth of the season for the 25-year-old, and he’s lowered his ERA to an aesthetically pleasing 1.62 in the process.       Reynaldo López tossed five scoreless innings on Monday in a no-decision against the Cubs.

      Advice: López certainly would’ve gone deeper into the contest, but he was lifted for precautionary reasons following just 71 pitches (50 strikes) after his back tightened up on him. It doesn’t sound like a serious concern with Braves manager Brian Snitker telling reporters afterwards that he doesn’t expect him to miss his next start. The 30-year-old righty will bring a stellar 1.34 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 40/16 K/BB ratio across 40 1/3 innings (seven starts) into a home outing on Sunday against the Padres.
