    • Fans six in victory
      Bradley (1-1) earned the win over Boston on Wednesday, allowing two runs on four hits and one walk while striking out six batters over five innings.

      Advice: Bradley wasn't quite as sharp as he was in his season debut Friday versus the Yankees, when he gave up just one run and struck out seven batters over six innings, but a big difference Wednesday was that he went home with a win. The promising 23-year-old got a late start to the season after injuring his pectoral in spring training and subsequently landing on the injured list, but he's impressed in two starts since his return as he attempts to solidify the back of Tampa Bay's rotation.     • No help in loss
      Lopez (4-3) allowed three runs on 10 hits while striking out three over 6.1 innings, taking the loss Wednesday versus the Yankees. He did not walk a batter.

      Advice: The 10 hits allowed were a season high for Lopez, who also received no run support in a 4-0 loss. He gave up a run in each of the first three innings before settling in to keep things relatively close. The Twins' ace is at a 3.93 ERA, 1.05 WHIP and 58:8 K:BB through 50.1 innings over nine starts this season. Lopez is lined up for a more favorable road matchup versus the Nationals his next time out.     • Pablo López struggles in loss to Yankees
      Pablo López surrendered 10 hits, three earned runs, and a mammoth home run to Aaron Judge in 6 ⅓ innings on Wednesday. He took the loss and struck out just three Yankees.

      Advice: The Yankees, especially Judge, were all over López in this one. Judge hit a 467-foot moonshot in the first inning and every starter besides Anthony Rizzo had at least one hit. It was still a marvel for López to work into the seventh inning and earn the quality start. He’s due to face the Nationals and Rangers next week in a two-start week.     • Taj Bradley strikes out six, earns first win
      Taj Bradley battled Tanner Houck to earn the win in Fenway Park on Wednesday. He struck out six while allowing two earned runs, four hits, and one walk in a 4-3 victory.

      Advice: Bradley had an uneasy start to the game before settling in and defeating the Red Sox. His fastball command was spotty in this one leaving far too many up and out of the zone, but he leaned on his splitter against a lefty-heavy Red Sox lineup.     • Cleared to start Sunday
      Lopez (back) is slated to start Sunday's game against the Padres in Atlanta, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

      Advice: The right-hander dealt with back tightness in his most recent start Monday against the Cubs and was lifted after five scoreless innings, but he's apparently feeling better two days later. Assuming he's able to make it out of his between-starts bullpen session without incident, Lopez shouldn't face any major workload restrictions when he toes the rubber Sunday. After spending most of the last two seasons as a reliever, Lopez has exceeded expectations with his move to a starting role in his first year in Atlanta, going 2-1 with a 1.34 ERA, 1.09 WHIP and 40:16 K:BB in 40.1 innings through his first seven outings.     • Cruises by Giants for win
      Stone (4-1) got the win Tuesday against the Giants, allowing one run on five hits and three walks while striking out two over six innings.

      Advice: Stone walked more batters than he struck out, which is never ideal, but he generated a bunch of soft contact with the only run against him coming off a base hit in the sixth inning. That's now four straight quality starts for Stone during which he's allowed one run in each. Over his last six starts, the 25-year-old boasts a 2.00 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 18:12 K:BB in 36 innings. The strikeouts aren't there but Stone continues to give the Dodgers excellent length and tentatively lines up to face Arizona at home to begin next week. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:24 am
       
    • Gavin Stone holds Giants to one run in victory
      Gavin Stone pitched six innings, allowing just one run, in the Dodgers’ 10-2 drubbing of the Giants on Tuesday.

      Advice: Stone struck out only two and walked three tonight, but there wasn’t much hard contact from the injury-riddled Giants lineup. It’s Stone’s fourth straight quality start, and he’s now 4-1 with a 3.27 ERA overall. We don’t think he’s really this good, but since he definitely pitches for the right team, he’s worth playing in mixed leagues. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:21 pm
       
    • Loses despite quality start
      Rea (3-1) allowed three runs on six hits and a walk over six innings Monday, striking out five and taking a loss against the Pirates.

      Advice: Rea was greeted with a two-run homer by Jack Suwinski in the first inning but held the Pirates to just one run over his next five frames. It was Rea's third quality start of the year but he was handed his first loss. He also generated a season-high 12 whiffs, including five via the splitter. Rea has produced a 3.45 ERA with a 30:13 K:BB through eight starts. His next outing is lined up to be in Houston this weekend. Rotowire.com Monday, 8:15 pm

      Colin Rea allowed three earned runs, struck out five and took the loss against the Pirates on Monday.



      Advice: Rea gave up a two-run home run to Jack Suwinski in the first inning and an RBI double to Bryan Reynolds in the third inning. He was able to keep the Pirates at bay otherwise. It was Rea’s second quality start in his last three outings. His ERA is now 3.45 on the season. The 33-year-old right-hander is set to face the Astros on the road this weekend.
