• Earns two-inning save
Paredes allowed a hit over two scoreless frames and picked up a save over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Paredes needed only 13 pitches to quickly roll through two shutout innings. It was his first career MLB save and he's turned in seven scoreless innings with Milwaukee since being recalled from Triple-A Nashville on May 24. Paredes followed Kevin Herget's two shutout frames after Freddy Peralta threw five innings in his start. The Brewers made a conscious effort to save the bullpen after Saturday's win that involved several usual late-inning arms, including Trevor Megill, Hoby Milner and Elvis Peguero. • Blows save, takes loss
Diekman (1-2) took the loss and blew his second save of the season Sunday against Arizona, giving up two earned runs on two hits in 0.1 innings.

Advice: Diekman came on in the ninth inning to preserve a one-run Mets lead. He allowed a leadoff double before surrendering the game-winning two-run home run to Ketel Marte. The Mets bullpen has been a disaster recently -- presumptive closer Reed Garrett gave up two home runs Friday and Adam Ottavino yielded four earned runs in his last appearance. Garrett remains the most likely candidate for upcoming save opportunities, but the pecking order will be difficult to predict with the Mets bullpen in flux. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:29 pm
  • Excellent in debut
Medina didn't factor into the decision Sunday against Atlanta, allowing one unearned run two hits and two walks across 5.2 innings. He struck out six.

Advice: Medina didn't show any signs of rust in his first big-league start since 2023, yielding just two hits to Atlanta in almost six innings of work. He threw 89 pitches and didn't seem to have any limitations after missing the first two months of the campaign due to a Grade 2 MCL sprain. The lone run scored during Medina's time on the mound came in the first when Marcell Ozuna advanced to second base on a passed ball before scoring via a Matt Olson single. The 24-year-old is lined up for a start during Oakland's three-game home series against the Blue Jays next weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:27 pm

  • Nabs win Sunday
King (2-1) pitched a perfect inning and earned the extra-inning win over the Phillies on Sunday.

Advice: King got a look in a high-leverage spot, and he kept the game scoreless with a spotless ninth inning. The Cardinals took the lead in the 10th and Ryan Helsley closed it out. King hasn't allowed an earned run over his last 10 innings, though he's given up three unearned runs in that span. He's pitched to a strong 1.50 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 13:2 K:BB over 18 innings while adding three holds and a blown save in 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:16 pm

  • Perfect for save No. 15
Iglesias picked up the save Sunday against Oakland, tossing a perfect inning with no strikeouts.

Advice: Iglesias needed just nine pitches to retire Zack Gelof, Kyle McCann and Max Shuemann in order. The 34-year-old is 15-for-17 on save chances this season and has allowed one hit in his last five innings of work. Overall, Iglesias has the fourth most saves in the NL and owns a 2.42 ERA through 22.1 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:14 pm
  • Locks down save
Helsley struck out two without allowing a hit or a walk in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Sunday's 5-4 extra-inning win over the Phillies.

Advice: A flyout allowed the initial runner to advance to third base, but Helsley struck out the next two batters to close this game. It was encouraging to see the 29-year-old have a dominant outing after allowing four runs over his previous three appearances. He's earned a save in eight straight outings despite his recent shakiness, and he still has a 2.42 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 27:6 K:BB over 26 innings while converting 19 of 20 save chances this season. • Ryan Helsley closes out Phillies in 10th inning
Ryan Helsley closed out the Phillies in the 10th inning on Sunday night, working a scoreless frame to protect a one-run advantage.

Advice: The 29-year-old right-hander had to do some work, as Bryce Harper advanced to third base on a fly ball to start the inning, but Helsley battled back to strike out Cristian Pache and Nick Castellanos to leave the tying run stranded there. Helsley has now racked up a league-leading 19 saves on the season to go with a terrific 2.42 ERA and a 27/6 K/BB ratio over 26 innings of work. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:16 pm
  • Alexis Díaz earns 12th save in win over Cubs
Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to secure a 5-2 win over the Cubs on Sunday.

Advice: Díaz walked one and struck out on and was never really in any jeopardy. Of course, it’s been a struggle for him this season, and the command issues are a big reason why. He now has a 5.64 ERA on the season but has a decent amount of job security with nobody to really threaten him in the bullpen. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:31 pm
  • Enoli Paredes gets first save of the season
Enoli Paredes recorded the save on Sunday after throwing two scoreless innings in a win over the White Sox.

Advice: Paredes threw the eighth inning when the score was 4-3 Milwaukee, but the Brewers tacked on two additional runs in the bottom of the 8th, so Pat Murphy decided to keep Paredes in to finish the job. It was his first save of the season, and he should not be considered a threat to Trevor Megill’s job. However, Paredes was outstanding in Triple-A and has yet to allow a run since being recalled, so he could be a solid ratio asset in deeper fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:01 pm
