    • Clubs go-ahead homer
Hernandez went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run and an additional RBI during Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Hernandez drove in all three of the Dodgers' runs Wednesday, plating Freddie Freeman on a first-inning single before re-taking the lead in the sixth on a two-run homer that also scored Freeman. Hernandez has gone yard four times in May, batting 8-for-25 (.320) with six runs scored during the month. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:28 pm
    • Another impressive outing
Stone (3-1) picked up the win Wednesday against Miami, allowing one run on six hits and no walks over seven innings. He struck out four.

Advice: Outside of a solo homer to Bryan De La Cruz in the fourth inning, Stone was exceptional, yielding one run for a third consecutive start. He's lasted at least six innings in three straight outings, dragging his ERA down to 3.55 through 38.0 frames. With Bobby Miller (shoulder) nearing the start of a rehab assignment, Stone could only have a couple more go-arounds in the Dodgers' rotation, with a date at San Francisco on tap for Tuesday. • Tyler Soderstrom slugs two-run homer vs. Rangers
Tyler Soderstrom went 2-for-5 with a two-run homer on Wednesday against the Rangers.

Advice: Soderstrom got the call to join Oakland for Wednesday’s doubleheader against Texas and made the most of his start. After knocking a base hit in the second inning, he took Jack Leiter deep for a two-run homer in the fourth. Soderstrom had an injury scare in the eighth after taking a pitch off his knee, but was able to stay in the game. He offers some power upside with catcher eligibility if he gets an extended look in the majors. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:17 pm

    • Homers in win
Suarez went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a steal in Wednesday's 4-3 win over Cincinnati.

Advice: Suarez's eighth-inning home run gave the Diamondbacks a 4-2 cushion, which the team needed as the Reds plated a run in the bottom of the ninth. It was the third home run of the season for Suarez, who earlier in the game snapped an 0-for-14 stretch, while the stolen base was his first of 2024. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:17 pm
    • Eugenio Suárez has sock and a shoe to lead D’Backs
Eugenio Suárez went 2-for-3 with a homer and a stolen base on Wednesday night, leading the Diamondbacks to a 4-3 victory over the Reds in Cincinnati.

Advice: The 32-year-old slugger was hit by a pitch to start the fourth inning, then stole his first base of the season, but the Diamondbacks couldn’t cash him in. He then added a valuable insurance run with a two-out, 390-foot (104.4) solo shot off of Lucas Sims that extended the Diamondbacks’ lead to 4-2 — and proved to be the difference in the ballgame. With his two-hit attack, Suárez is now hitting .226/.295/.346 with three long balls and 20 RBI on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:38 pm
    • Starting rehab stint
Astros manager Joe Espada said Wednesday that Urquidy (forearm) is likely to begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land this weekend, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: The right-hander threw live batting practice Tuesday and has now been cleared to pitch in minor-league games. Urquidy was shut down with a forearm strain in mid-March and will likely require a handful of rehab starts before making his season debut for the Astros. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:41 pm

    • José Urquidy (forearm) ready for rehab assignment
José Urquidy (forearm) will begin a minor league rehab assignment at Triple-A Sugar Land over the weekend.

Advice: Urquidy has been shelved since spring training due to inflammation in his forearm, so he’s going to need at least a couple of rehab starts before he’s an option to join the Astros’ rotation. If he’s able to avoid any setbacks though, a return before the end of May could be realistic. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:26 pm

    • Teoscar Hernández homers, Dodgers fillet Marlins
Teoscar Hernández went 2-for-3 with a two-run homer and three RBI on Wednesday, powering the Dodgers to a 3-1 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Hernández was a one-man wrecking crew, taking full advantage of a tasty matchup for him against young southpaw Ryan Weathers, delivering a run-scoring single in the opening frame before crushing a two-run blast in the sixth inning. It was the lefty-mashing veteran slugger’s 10th round-tripper of the season and fourth time he’s gone deep in his last six contests. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:35 pm
    • Gavin Stone quiets Marlins to collect third win
Gavin Stone yielded one run over seven innings on Wednesday in a win over the Marlins.

Advice: Stone was excellent during Wednesday afternoon’s matinee at Dodger Stadium, limiting Miami’s floundering lineup to just a fourth-inning solo shot from Bryan De La Cruz over seven frames. He finished with four strikeouts and didn’t hand out a free pass. The 25-year-old former top pitching prospect has held his own this season in his first extended chance in the big leagues, compiling a respectable 3.55 ERA, 1.26 WHIP and 27/13 K/BB ratio across 38 innings (seven starts). He’ll face the division-rival Giants on Tuesday his next time out. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:32 pm
