    • Goes deep in second straight game
Conforto went 2-for-3 with a solo home run and a walk Thursday in a loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Conforto accounted for San Francisco's only run with a solo shot to left field in the fourth inning. It was his second homer in as many days following a 12-game stretch without a long ball. Conforto's power has run hot and cold this season -- he went deep three times over his first five games of the campaign, then homered just twice over his subsequent 29 contests before his current two-game long-ball streak. • Placed on injured list
Drury (hamstring) was placed on the 10-day injured list Thursday.

Advice: Drury exited Wednesday's game after dealing with tightness in his hamstring, an issue he first dealt with in mid-April. He'll be sidelined for at least the next 10 days, leaving Luis Guillorme as the Angels' projected starting second baseman in the short term. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:36 pm

    • Angels put Brandon Drury (hamstring) on 10-day IL
Angels placed INF Brandon Drury on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.

Advice: No word yet on the severity of the injury, which will determine how long Drury remains on the shelf. The 31-year-old suffered the injury during Wednesday’s contest against the Pirates and figures to miss at least a couple weeks. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:30 pm

    • Charlie Blackmon doubles and triples in blowout
Charlie Blackmon doubled and tripled while driving in a pair of runs in a 9-1 rout of the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Blackmon also singled, and that base knock drove in a run in the fourth inning. The former fantasy star has been just so-so — at best — in 2024 with a slash of .241/.299/.370, but this does make back-to-back multi-hit games for Blackmon. There’s just not enough offensive consistency at this stage in his career to trust him as a regular option. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:32 pm

    • Three-hit game for Ezequiel Tovar against Giants
Ezequiel Tovar picked up three hits and scored a run in a victory over the Giants on Thursday.

Advice: Tovar singled twice and also doubled. The RBI came on that double in the fourth inning, and he’s up to eight two-baggers with 13 RBI over the first 36 games of 2024. Tovar still has work to be done, but at the age of 22, he’s got time to figure it all out. A .269/.314/.400 slash gives you an idea of what he’s capable of in the coming seasons. • Conforto hits solo homer in loss to Rockies
Michael Conforto homered while going 2-for-3 in a blowout loss to the Rockies on Thursday.

Advice: Conforto also drew a walk, so a nice day for him on a day where the rest of the Giants were not very good. The 31-year-old connected on a solo homer off Cal Quantrill and now has seven homers and 20 RBI in the first month-plus of the 2024 campaign. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:32 pm
    • First rehab start Sunday
Urquidy will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Sugar Land on Sunday, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.

Advice: Urquidy is slated for four innings and/or 60-to-65 pitches in the outing. It's a fairly substantial workload considering the right-hander has been on the shelf with a forearm strain since mid-March. Urquidy would seemingly need at least one additional rehab start after that before returning to the Astros. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:19 pm

    • Productive in loss
Blackmon went 2-for-4 with two RBI, two runs scored and a walk Wednesday against the Giants.

Advice: Blackmon delivered a pair of separate RBI knocks to snap a skid of 15 starts without collecting multiple hits. He's struggled to just a .616 OPS across 112 plate appearances to begin the season, though both his barrel and hard-hit rate remain in line with his more productive recent campaigns. If those skills stick, Blackmon should start to see better results, particularly at home. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:38 am

    • Tallies two hits
Vaughn went 2-for-4 with a double and a walk Wednesday against the Rays.

Advice: Vaughn collected multiple hits for the first time in his last seven starts, during which he's gone just for 5-for-25 with two doubles. He's gotten off to a slow start to the season overall by hitting .192 across 142 plate appearances, and he also has an inflated 26.1 percent strikeout rate. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:35 am
