    • Bobby Witt Jr. steals two bags in win over CLE
Bobby Witt Jr. reached twice while stealing two bases in a 4-3 win for the Royals over the Guardians on Thursday.

Advice: Witt Jr. is now up to 19 thefts on the year. The speedy superstar is playing at an MVP level with a .317/.371/.560 slash, and has picked up hits in each game thus far in June. If 2025 drafts were held now — and they are decidedly not — it’d be hard to argue that he wouldn’t be the first pick in the overwhelming majority of leagues. Scary to think he’s still only 23, too. • Launches grand slam
India went 1-for-3 with a grand slam, a walk and five total RBI in a 12-7 win over the Rockies.

Advice: India cut the Reds' deficit to 7-6 with a sacrifice fly in the eighth inning before breaking the game open with a grand slam off Angel Chivilli in the ninth, extending the lead to 12-7. After a slow start, India's started to turn things around at the plate -- he has at least one hit in nine of his last 12 games, going 14-for-36 (.389) with 13 RBI in that span. Overall, the 27-year-old second baseman is slashing .242/.358/.347 with four homers, 24 RBI, 24 runs scored and five stolen bases through 55 games this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 8:22 pm
    • Jordan Montgomery’s struggles continue vs. Giants
Jordan Montgomery was torched for six runs over two innings on Wednesday in a loss to the Giants.

Advice: Montgomery kicked off the contest with a pair of scoreless frames before coming completely unraveled in a calamitous third inning when San Francisco struck for six runs on six hits, including a pair of homers. He finished with two strikeouts and also issued one walk. The 31-year-old lefty has been hit extremely hard in his Arizona debut so far, allowing six earned runs in back-to-back outings and three of his nine starts so far since April 19. He’ll bring a bloated 6.80 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 29/18 K/BB ratio across 46 1/3 innings (nine starts). He’s going to improve at some point, but it’s difficult for fantasy managers to trust him at the moment until he shows some signs that he’s turning things around. Rotoworld Wednesday, 5:12 pm
    • Hit hard in Wednesday's loss
Montgomery (3-4) took the loss Wednesday, coughing up six runs on seven hits and three walks over two-plus innings as Arizona fell 9-3 to San Francisco. He struck out one.

Advice: The southpaw held the Giants off the board for two innings, but things fell apart quickly in the third, highlighted by Wilmer Flores' grand slam -- the first slam Montgomery has ever served up in his career. The 31-year-old has been tagged for 14 runs in only six innings over his last two starts, and he'll carry a 6.80 ERA, 1.73 WHIP and 29:18 K:BB through 46.1 innings into his next start, which lines up to come at home early next week against the Angels. • Jonathan India hits grand slam, Reds sweep Rox
Jonathan India slugged a three-run homer and tallied five RBI on Wednesday, leading the Reds to a 12-7 comeback victory over the Rockies.

Advice: India followed teammate Spencer Steer’s go-ahead two-run homer off Rockies stopper Jalen Beeks in the ninth inning with a grand slam to left field against rookie Angel Chivilli later in the frame to put the cherry on top of Cincinnati’s six-run explosion. He also added a sacrifice fly earlier in the contest to match a career-high with five RBI in the comeback win, which gave the Reds a much-needed sweep of a three-game series at Coors Field. • Homers twice in win
Devers went 2-for-3 with a pair of home runs, a walk, three total RBI and three total runs scored in Wednesday's 9-0 win over Atlanta.

Advice: Devers opened the scoring with an opposite-field solo shot off Spencer Schwellenbach in the second inning before extending the Red Sox lead to 8-0 with a two-run blast off left-hander Ray Kerr in the seventh. The 27-year-old Devers is now 7-for-19 (.368) with three homers and six RBI in his last five contests. He's slashing .288/.380/.576 with 13 homers, 32 RBI and 34 runs scored across 221 plate appearances this season. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 2:19 pm
    • Rafael Devers homers twice in rout
Rafael Devers homered twice, drove in three runs and walked Wednesday in the rout of the Braves.

Advice: Devers took advantage of the Green Monster twice today, hitting his homers 358 and 361 feet to the opposite field. He’s 6-for-15 with three homers and six RBI in four games to begin June, and he’s tied for eighth in the AL with 13 homers overall. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:25 pm
    • Set to return to lineup Friday
Burger said that he's not dealing with any soreness or pain in his intercostal muscle, but he's out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Rays as a matter of caution, Noah Berger of ElExtraBase.com reports.

Advice: Burger was on the injured list from April 15 through May 6 with a left intercostal strain, and he appeared to tweak the muscle on a swing during Tuesday's 9-5 loss. He was able to stay in the game, and Burger's condition hasn't seemed to have taken a turn for the worse heading into Wednesday's series finale. However, with a team off day Thursday, both Burger and manager Skip Schumaker agreed that it was for the best for the third baseman to get a two-day break by exiting the lineup Wednesday. Burger is fully expected to be back in the starting nine Friday versus the Guardians. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 12:58 pm

    • Jake Burger (oblique) takes day off as precaution
Jake Burger is getting Wednesday off after tweaking his oblique on a swing during Tuesday’s game.

Advice: Burger said he felt fine today and that this is just a precaution. He was sidelined from April 14 to May 5 after straining his left oblique. Expectations are that he’ll be in Friday’s lineup after the off day tomorrow. Rotoworld Wednesday, 12:34 pm
