      Advice: Diaz made quick work of the middle of the Pirates' order Tuesday, logging his 16th save of the year. The right-hander has now converted his last nine save opportunities despite allowing three runs (two earned) over his prior three innings.       Advice: King had to contend with traffic for most of his outing Tuesday, though he'd manage to hold the Phillies to one run before departing in the fifth. The 29-year-old right-hander has pitched well of late, posting a 1.71 ERA with 34 strikeouts over his last five outings (26.2 innings). Overall, King is 5-4 with a 3.49 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 101:37 K: BB across 87.2 innings this season. He's currently lined up for a home matchup with the Brewers this weekend in his next start.     • Michael King struggles with command on Tuesday
      Michael King allowed one run on six hits in 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision against the Phillies.

      Advice: The right-hander struck out six but also walked three on the day and needed 100 pitches to get through his 4 2/3 innings. He did induce 12 whiffs on 47 swings for a 27 percent whiff rate and 27 percent CSW but he also had just a 44 percent zone rate on the night. King has been missing plenty of bats in his first season as a full-time starter, but the consistency hasn’t quite been there.     • Alexis Díaz earns 16th save on Tuesday
      Alexis Díaz pitched a scoreless ninth inning to preserve a 2-1 win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

      Advice: The save was Díaz’s 16th of the season and fifth in the month of June. It was a nice rebound from his tough outing against the Brewers last time out and Díaz has now thrown a scoreless inning in eight of his last 11 appearances. The bigger key for the 27-year-old was that he didn’t walk a batter in this outing, only the second time in June he’s accomplished that.       Hader allowed one earned run on two hits and no walks while striking out two in the ninth inning Sunday against the Tigers.

      Advice: Hader entered the game with the Astros up 4-0 and allowed consecutive hits with one out to surrender the earned run. He's given up at least one earned run in three of his last 10 appearances, though he has maintained 14:1 K:BB across 9.2 innings in that span.       Alexis Díaz recorded his 15th save despite allowing two runs — one earned — in the ninth Friday versus the Brewers.

Diaz has converted eight straight saves and 15 of his 17 chances this season.
