• On bench Tuesday
Frazier is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Twins.

Advice: Frazier will get a day off after making three straight starts following the injury to Michael Massey (back). Nick Loftin will bat sixth and play second base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:19 pm

  • On bench Tuesday
Julien is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: As usual, Julien will give way to Kyle Farmer at second base with a left-handed pitcher on the mound. Julien has just three hits in his last 27 at-bats and could start losing work against RHP if his struggles persist. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:10 pm

Diaz (calf) was reinstated from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: Diaz has missed the first two months of the 2024 campaign with a strained right calf he sustained in early March. He appeared in 10 games at Triple-A during his rehab assignment and slashed .154/.313/.308 with six walks and five strikeouts in 32 plate appearances. He figures to compete with Max Schuemann and Abraham Toro for work at shortstop and third base. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:29 am

  • Athletics reinstate Aledmys Díaz off 60-day IL
Athletics reinstated INF Aledmys Díaz off the 60-day injured list.

Advice: Díaz will have a chance to play after missing the first two months of the season with a calf strain. The 33-year-old returns for Oakland, and Tyler Nevin was designated for assignment to make room for him on the active and 40-man roster. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:24 am

  • DJ LeMahieu will hit ninth, play third in return
DJ LeMahieu will hit ninth and play third base in his return from the 60-day injured list Tuesday.

Advice: LeMahieu will make his season debut after missing exactly two months of the season with a fracture in his right foot. The 35-year-old could have some rust to shake off from such a long absence — even with a lengthy rehab assignment — but hitting ninth will give him a chance to be driven in by the top of the New York lineup. • Slated to bat ninth in return
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said in an interview on Jomboy Media's "Talkin' Yanks" podcast that LeMahieu (foot) will start at third base and bat ninth Tuesday versus the Angels in his season debut.

Advice: LeMahieu had appeared in line for leadoff duties with the Yankees before suffering a non-displaced fracture of his right foot shortly before Opening Day. However, Anthony Volpe looks to have a tight grip on the leadoff job now, pushing LeMahieu to the bottom of the batting order for the time being. LeMahieu is slated to be the team's primary third baseman, although he will be given extra off days initially as the Yankees ease him back into action. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:59 am

  • Gaining playing time at shortstop
Wisely went 2-for-4 with a double and two RBI in Monday's 8-4 win over the Phillies.

Advice: After being called up from Triple-A Sacramento on May 11, Wisely started in just one of the ensuing 10 games, but the 25-year-old since appears to have moved into the strong side of a platoon at shortstop with Marco Luciano. Wisely has started in each of the last three games and in three of the Giants' previous four matchups with right-handed starting pitchers, going a collective 9-for-15 with a home run, a double, a stolen base, five RBI and three runs during that stretch. So long as he's swinging a hot bat, Wisely should continue to play ahead of Luciano until Nick Ahmed (wrist) is reinstated from the injured list. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 am

  • Heating up for Syracuse
Acuna is slashing .303/.344/.371 over his last 20 games for Triple-A Syracuse with eight steals in 10 attempts and a 13.5 percent strikeout rate.

Advice: The 22-year-old had a rough start to his season and headed into May with a .224/.276/.367 line and a 21.0 percent K rate, but Acuna has found a groove over the last few weeks. Per Will Sammon of The Athletic, he's worked on shortening his swing and reducing his leg kick, and the tweaks seem to be paying dividends. Should the 22-30 Mets become sellers this summer and ship out veterans like Starling Marte and Jeff McNeil, it could open up a spot in the majors for Acuna. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:30 am

  • Slugs first homer
Solano went 1-for-2 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 win over Miami.

Advice: Solano came into the contest having gone 2-for-13 over his previous seven contests, but he broke the slump with a second-inning solo homer for the game's first run. The long ball was his first as a member of the Padres after joining the organization on a minor-league deal in mid-April. Solano has never been much of a power hitter, but he's consistently demonstrated good contact skills and is slashing .321/.441/.464 in limited opportunities this season. Rotowire.com Monday, 10:17 pm
