• Heading back to Tacoma
Clase is expected to be optioned back to Triple-A Tacoma before Monday's series opener against Atlanta, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The speedy rookie reached safely in his first four games after being called up April 15, but Clase had seen his playing time evaporate over the last three games. He'll head back to Tacoma to continue getting regular at-bats, and veteran utility man Sam Haggerty is expected to be promoted to the big-league club in a corresponding move. • On the way back to majors
Haggerty is expected to be called up from Triple-A Tacoma ahead of Monday's series opener against Atlanta, MLB.com reports.

Advice: The move isn't yet official, but during his time at Tacoma, Haggerty has worked off any rust he may have accumulated during a multi-week absence due to a personal medical issue. The veteran utility man has generated a .344 average and .417 on-base percentage during his 16 games with the Rainiers, and as he's done in past seasons, he's expected to fill a super-utility role with the big club. In a corresponding move, rookie Jonatan Clase is expected to be optioned back to the Rainiers after a two-week stay with the Mariners. Rotowire.com 28 minutes ago

  • Early exit Sunday
Jones was forced to exit Sunday's game against the Rockies in the seventh inning due to back stiffness, Thomas Harding of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Jones has battled back stiffness since Tuesday and was forced to miss two games with the issue. After managing to play the entirety of Saturday's contest, Jones was back in the starting lineup Sunday but was forced to exit early after going 1-for-2 with a double and a run scored. The team has not yet decided whether Jones will require a stint on the injured list, but manager Bud Black did say that he is concerned that the issue is recurring. Rotowire.com 40 minutes ago

  • Three-hit effort in win
Fitzgerald went 3-for-3 with a double and one run scored in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Fitzgerald has recorded three multi-hit games this season, and he's batting .313 with a .915 OPS over 34 plate appearances. He remains in a utility role, but he's done well when in the lineup, posting one home run, three RBI, six runs scored, two doubles, a triple and four stolen bases. Fitzgerald's lack of an everyday role limits his fantasy viability, and his best chance at playing time is at shortstop, though Nick Ahmed has held his own there by batting .262 over 27 contests. Fitzgerald has also played in center field occasionally versus southpaws when Jung Hoo Lee is out of the lineup, though that has not been a strict platoon situation. • Mariners expected to option Jonatan Clase Monday
The Mariners are expected to option outfielder Jonatan Clase to Triple-A Tacoma on Monday.

Advice: The 21-year-old wound up appearing in just nine games during his brief stay with the big league club — hitting .222/.250/.259 with zero homers, three RBI, two stolen bases and a 9/1 K/BB ratio in 28 plate appearances. The thinking is probably that it’s best to let him play every day at the Triple-A level and continue to develop as opposed to seeing sporadic playing time with the M’s. Sam Haggerty is expected to be recalled to take his place on the active roster. Rotoworld Today, 10:29 pm

  • Lifts homer in win
Yastrzemski went 2-for-3 with a solo home run in Sunday's 3-2 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Yastrzemski has hit safely in six of his last eight games, going 9-for-22 (.409) in that span. His two hitless contests in that span were games during which he entered off the bench. The outfielder remains in a strong-side platoon role this year. He's slashing .236/.311/.345 with two homers, 10 RBI, seven runs scored and no stolen bases over 62 plate appearances while sharing right field with platoon partner Austin Slater. • Homers in second straight
Tucker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Rockies.

Advice: Tucker took advantage of the offensive environment in Mexico City, homering in each of Houston's two contests there. He now has seven home runs on the season and has at least one hit in each of his last five starts. It comes as no surprise that Tucker has remained an excellent five-category contributor, highlighted by 39 combined RBI and runs scored as well as five stolen bases across 28 contests. • Notches second steal
Siani went 0-for-3 with one RBI, a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 4-2 extra-innings loss to the Mets.

Advice: Siani is hitless over his last six games (0-for-17) while drawing two walks and striking out six times in that span. For now, he's the Cardinals' starting center fielder, but he's in the lineup mostly for his defense while Dylan Carlson (shoulder) and Tommy Edman (wrist) are on the mend. Siani is slashing just .108/.233/.162 with no home runs, one RBI, nine runs scored and two stolen bases this season. Rotowire.com Today, 10:10 pm

  • Steals two more bags
Young went 3-for-5 with a double, three RBI, two runs scored and two stolen bases during Sunday's 12-9 victory over the Marlins.

Advice: Young's three hits were a season high and represented his third consecutive multi-hit effort while he also stole two bags for the second-consecutive game. The young center fielder is up to 10 steals on the season, good for fifth in all of baseball despite accumulating only 60 at-bats and one walk. His average now stands at .375 with four doubles, seven RBI and 14 runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 8:27 pm
