    • Battles through quality start
Littell did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing three runs on 11 hits and one walk over six innings against the Orioles. He struck out two.

Advice: Littell's day started by allowing a leadoff homer to Gunnar Henderson, but he somehow managed to keep the Rays in the game despite walking the tight rope throughout most of his six-inning effort. In total, Littell scattered a season-high 11 hits and 12 total baserunners while accumulating a season-low two strikeouts. Despite facing at least five Orioles batters in four of his six innings completed, Littell managed to walk away with a quality start and his gritty performance kept the door open for the Rays to pull off the comeback win. Littell will look to make things a bit easier on himself during his next start, tentatively slated to take place against these same Orioles next weekend when the O's return the favor and make the trip to Tampa. • Chris Bassitt strikes out seven in win
Chris Bassitt struck out seven across five innings in a 5-4 win over the Pirates on Sunday. He allowed three earned runs and walked one while securing the win.

Advice: Bassitt was able to navigate nine Pirates base runners to keep just enough runs off the board and earn his sixth win of the season. This was his third straight win in as many starts as he’s put a poor April in the rear view mirror and pitched much more like the ultra-steady Bassitt we’ve come to expect. Rotoworld Today, 2:14 pm
    • Brayan Bello falters late in no-decision
Brayan Bello was charged with four runs in 6 1/3 innings Sunday in a no-decision against the Tigers.

Advice: This one is on Alex Cora, who sent Bello back out for the seventh to face the top of the lineup for a fourth time even though he had given up runs in the fifth and sixth innings. Bello surrendered hits to two of the three batters he faced before being pulled, and Justin Slaten allowed both runners to score afterwards. Bello remains 6-2 with a 4.36 ERA. • Jackson Chourio has HR, three RBI in win
Jackson Chourio went 2-for-4 with a home run on three RBI in a 6-3 win over the White Sox on Sunday.

Advice: Chourio got the Brewers on the board in the second inning by socking a three-run home run 385 feet at 102.5 mph off the bat. It was his sixth home run of the season, and he now has 19 RBI on the year. Chourio has an elevated strikeout rate which has helped keep his batting average down, but he has shown a fantasy-friendly profile with the six home runs and seven steals. It may not fully click this year for the 20-year-old, but the future is certainly bright. Rotoworld Today, 2:05 pm

    • Zack Littell gives up 11 hits to Orioles
Zack Littell allowed three runs and 11 hits over six innings Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: It was a rather odd game in Baltimore, in that there were 28 hits and just seven runs. The Orioles outhit the Rays 15-13, outwalked them 2-1 and had three hits with RISP to the Rays’ one, yet the Rays, who were also 0-for-2 stealing bases, ended up winning 4-3. Littell allowed three runs or fewer for the 10th time in 12 starts, even though his hits total topped his previous season high by two. He definitely deserves better than a 2-3 record for his 3.56 ERA. Rotoworld Today, 1:47 pm

    • Gerrit Cole will need at least two rehab starts
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters on Sunday that Gerrit Cole (elbow) will need at least a couple of minor league rehab starts before he’s ready to make his 2024 debut.

Advice: Cole will make his first minor league rehab start at Double-A Somerset on Tuesday. His next turn will come five days after that. If he needs just two starts, his regular season debut would likely come against the Red Sox at some point during their series starting on June 14. If he needs a third tune-up in the minor leagues, it’s likely that his debut would come the following week against the Braves. As long as he avoids any setbacks, his return appears to be imminent. • Hitting bench Sunday
Moore is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Angels.

Advice: Moore will take a seat in the series finale after he went 1-for-14 with eight strikeouts while starting each of the past four games at either second base or third base. While he remains in the mix for steady playing at the keystone with Jorge Polanco (hamstring) on the injured list, Moore looks to be slowing down at the plate after a hot run over the first three weeks of May. Dating back to May 23, Moore is slashing .103/.297/.138 over a stretch of nine games. If Moore's struggles continue, Ryan Bliss could end up unseating him as the preferred option at second base. • Receiving Sunday off
Smith is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Smith started the previous five games and will receive the day off for Sunday's series finale versus Colorado. Austin Barnes will step in behind the plate to catch for righty Gavin Stone. Rotowire.com Today, 11:53 am

    • Beginning rehab stint Tuesday
Yankees manager Aaron Boone said Sunday that Cole (elbow) will begin a rehab assignment Tuesday with Double-A Somerset, Bryan Hoch of MLB.com reports.

Advice: The 33-year-old has thrown multiple sessions of live batting practice over the past couple weeks and has now been cleared to pitch in minor-league games. Cole will require multiple outings in the minors before being ready to join the Yankees, but he's on track to make his season debut during the second half of June. Rotowire.com Today, 11:30 am
