    • Jackson Holliday (elbow) lands on IL at Triple-A
Jackson Holliday was placed on the injured list at Triple-A Norfolk with right elbow inflammation.

Advice: The injury isn’t believed to be serious, and Holliday isn’t expected to miss much longer than the minimum stint on the injured list. The 20-year-old top prospect has hit .270/.433/.466 with seven homers, 28 RBI, five stolen bases and a 54/54 K/BB ratio over 245 plate appearances at Triple-A Norfolk this season. • To Triple-A IL with elbow injury
Holliday was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Norfolk on Friday with right elbow inflammation, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

Advice: It's not clear how long the top prospect might be sidelined. While he's still been drawing plenty of walks in June, Holliday has scuffled a bit overall this month, slashing .212/.422/.394. He sports a .252/.418/.429 line with five homers in 40 games for Norfolk since being demoted. A return to the big leagues had not seemed imminent for Holliday, but the injury will rule out the possibility for a while. Rotowire.com Friday, 2:04 pm

    • Slow start to June
Holliday is hitting .182 with one home run, one steal, 12 walks and 12 strikeouts in 10 June games for Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: Holliday is slashing .238/.407/.415 with five home runs, four steals, a 22.2 percent walk rate and a 24.3 percent strikeout rate in 40 games since being optioned to Triple-A on April 26. The Orioles could summon the 20-year-old middle infielder at any point, but his return to the big leagues in the coming weeks is more of a possibility than an inevitability. Due to the fact Holliday spent 16 days on the active roster in April, Baltimore would need to keep him in the minors until Sept. 1 while limiting him to 130 or fewer total at-bats in order to preserve his rookie eligibility heading into 2025. • Taking on-field BP
Edman (wrist) will take batting practice on the field at Busch Stadium on Tuesday, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: The switch-hitting Edman was recently cleared to hit from both sides of the plate and will now progress to taking on-field BP for the first time since last October's right wrist surgery. Edman's progress from the operation has been slow and involved numerous starts and stops, but he's been trending in a positive direction for the last few weeks and he might not be far off from a rehab assignment. • Tommy Edman (wrist) takes on-field batting practice
Tommy Edman (wrist) progressed to taking on-field batting practice on Tuesday for the first time since offseason wrist surgery.

Advice: The big question for fantasy managers is when will Edman be ready for a minor league rehab assignment? The 29-year-old switch-hitting center fielder has progressed to hitting from both sides of the plate and doesn’t appear far off from getting into minor league contests. Rotoworld Tuesday, 1:30 pm

    • Reaches three times in win
Kim went 1-for-1 with two walks, two RBI and a stolen base in Monday's 6-1 victory against Oakland.

Advice: Kim gave San Diego its first lead with an RBI single in the fourth inning and plated the team's final run with a sacrifice fly in the seventh. The shortstop added a stolen base in the victory, giving him 14 on the campaign. Kim has struggled at the plate for much of the early part of the season but may be starting to heat up, going 4-for-12 with two homers, seven RBI and four walks over his past four contests. • Drives in five runs
Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-3 with a double and five RBI in Sunday's win over Oakland. He was also caught stealing.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa knocked a two-run single in the second inning before capping off his day with a clutch bases-clearing double in the 10th to help secure the win. After an ugly 0-for-20 skid in the middle of May, he's gone 22-for-64 (.344) over his last 18 games. That hot streak has boosted his season slash line to .275/.319/.394 with 26 RBI and 13 extra-base hits through 209 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:00 pm

    • Isiah Kiner-Falefa plates five runs to lead Jays
Isiah Kiner-Falefa went 2-for-3 with a double and five RBI on Sunday afternoon, propelling the Blue Jays to a 6-4 victory over the Athletics in 10 innings in Oakland.

Advice: Kiner-Falefa got the scoring started in the second inning with a two-run single off of Mitch Spence. He was then nabbed trying to steal second base — the first time that he has been caught all season. The versatile 29-year-old then delivered the biggest blow of the game with a bases-clearing three-run double off of Austin Adams that put the Blue Jays ahead in the 10th inning. With his two-hit attack, Kiner-Falefa is now slashing .275/.319/.394 on the season with four homers, 26 RBI and three stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Sunday, 3:46 pm

    • Ha-Seong Kim swats three-run homer in blowout
Ha-Seong Kim hit a three-run homer in a blowout win for the Padres on Saturday over the Diamondbacks.

Advice: Kim also walked. The shortstop’s three-run blast extended San Diego’s lead to 4-0 and gave Kim nine on the 2024 campaign. Kim has provided some power/speed over the first two-plus months of the season, and it’s helped made up for a batting average of just .224. Rotoworld Saturday, 10:09 pm
