      Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to help the Mariners to a 7-5 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

      Advice: The man they call J-Rod clobbered a cutter that didn’t cut from Nathan Eovaldi into the left-field bleachers to make it 3-0 in the third inning. It’s just the seventh homer of the season for the 23-year-old, but it’s worth noting he’s gone deep in two of the last three games.       Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in an extra-inning loss to the White Sox.

      Advice: Rodriguez was hitless in his first three at-bats but came up big in his fourth trip to the plate, smashing a game-tying solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning. The long ball was just his second across 17 contests since he went deep in back-to-back games May 25-26. Rodriguez has 16 thefts this season but has been fairly disappointing otherwise with just six homers, 26 RBI, 34 runs and a .268/.317/.354 slash line through 300 plate appearances.       Julio Rodríguez hit a game-tying homer in the ninth inning against the White Sox, but the Mariners fell to Chicago in extra-innings.

      Advice: With the Mariners trailing 2-1, J-Rod obliterated a Michael Kopech fastball to right-center field that tied the game at 2-2. The outfielder now has six homers on the season; a disappointing total for a player who many (justifiably) thought would be among the league leaders in 2024.       Advice: Both of Bleday's hits were singles, but Wednesday marked his second straight game reaching safely on three occasions after a brief 0-for-13 slump that had encompassed his previous three contests. Bleday has pushed his on-base percentage back up to a solid .326 with his frequent trips on the basepaths the last two nights, and he's also carrying a 19.6 percent strikeout rate.       The Yankees reinstated Dominguez (elbow) from the 60-day injured list Wednesday and optioned him to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

      Advice: Dominguez has been on the injured list all season while recovering from a Tommy John procedure he underwent in September, and though he now appears to have made a full recovery, he will remain in Triple-A for now. The 21-year-old outfield prospect has played in 20 total games with three of New York's minor-league affiliates, slashing .368/.415/.658 with six home runs and 13 RBI in 82 plate appearances. If he continues at his current pace, a return to the majors is likely to come at some point, though he would have to compete against Alex Verdugo, Aaron Judge and Juan Soto for playing time in the Yankees' outfield. The 21-year-old phenom has been obliterating the baseball in the minor leagues — slashing .368/.415/.658 with six homers, 13 RBI and a pair of swipes in his first 82 plate appearances.       Advice: Rodriguez is 12-for-39 (.308) over his first 10 games in June, though he's also posted a 4:13 BB:K. He was able to make an impact on the basepaths Tuesday with his first steals since May 29.
