      Andrew Vaughn went 2-for-5 with a homer and three RBI Saturday in a win over the Diamondbacks.

      Advice: It’s been a fantastic June for Vaughn, even with the White Sox playing at an absolutely abhorrent level. The 26-year-old hit a two-run blast off Bryce Jarvis in the fifth, and the first baseman drove in another run with a single two innings earlier.       Advice: Rodriguez has two homers over his last three games and three of his seven long balls this year have come in June. The outfielder is batting .278 (15-for-54) over 14 contests this month, though Saturday was the first game since June 4 in which he didn't strike out.       Julio Rodríguez went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer to help the Mariners to a 7-5 win over the Rangers on Saturday.

      Advice: The man they call J-Rod clobbered a cutter that didn’t cut from Nathan Eovaldi into the left-field bleachers to make it 3-0 in the third inning. It’s just the seventh homer of the season for the 23-year-old, but it’s worth noting he’s gone deep in two of the last three games.       Jackson Holliday was placed on the injured list at Triple-A Norfolk with right elbow inflammation.

      Advice: The injury isn’t believed to be serious, and Holliday isn’t expected to miss much longer than the minimum stint on the injured list. The 20-year-old top prospect has hit .270/.433/.466 with seven homers, 28 RBI, five stolen bases and a 54/54 K/BB ratio over 245 plate appearances at Triple-A Norfolk this season.       Holliday was placed on the 7-day injured list at Triple-A Norfolk on Friday with right elbow inflammation, Roch Kubatko of MASNSports.com reports.

      Advice: It's not clear how long the top prospect might be sidelined. While he's still been drawing plenty of walks in June, Holliday has scuffled a bit overall this month, slashing .212/.422/.394. He sports a .252/.418/.429 line with five homers in 40 games for Norfolk since being demoted.       Yainer Diaz (finger) returned to the Astros’ starting lineup for Friday’s series opener against the Tigers.

      Advice: It’s the first time that the 25-year-old backstop has been in the lineup since he took a foul tip off of his finger during Sunday’s game.       Rodriguez went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Thursday in an extra-inning loss to the White Sox.

      Advice: Rodriguez was hitless in his first three at-bats but came up big in his fourth trip to the plate, smashing a game-tying solo shot in the bottom of the ninth inning. The long ball was just his second across 17 contests since he went deep in back-to-back games May 25-26. Rodriguez has 16 thefts this season but has been fairly disappointing otherwise with just six homers, 26 RBI, 34 runs and a .268/.317/.354 slash line through 300 plate appearances.
