    • Back with Pirates, starting Tuesday
The Pirates recalled Davis from Triple-A Indianapolis on Tuesday, Andrew Destin of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports.

Advice: Davis will draw the start at catcher Tuesday against the Dodgers, manager Derek Shelton said in an interview on 93.7 The Fan. He should ultimately split starts behind the dish with veteran Yasmani Grandal. Davis was optioned in early May after a dreadful start to the season, but he rebounded at Indianapolis by slashing .296/.436/.642 with seven homers in 23 contests. Rotowire.com Today, 9:49 am

    • Settling into groove at plate
Steer went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a run scored in Monday's 13-3 win over Colorado.

Advice: After a rough May in which he posted a .176 average and .629 OPS, Steer has gotten off to a strong start to June. He's delivered multiple hits in all three games on the month, going 8-for-14. Steer's recent form is reminiscent of his body of work early in the season, when he hit .324/.435/.563 with 18 RBI over his first 20 games. Rotowire.com Today, 5:15 am

    • Steer has three-hit game in win Monday
Spencer Steer went 3-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Steer is up to 37 RBI in 58 games this season. Heā€™s only hitting .243, but his .282 BABIP is a little lower than his career .302 BABIP. He should improve in that area and with 11 steals already heā€™s on pace to blow by his total of 15 steals from last year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:57 pm

    • Bregman blasts ninth home run in win Monday
Alex Bergman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Cardinals on Monday.

Advice: The home run was Bregmanā€™s ninth of the season. With the Astros trailing by one in the eighth inning, he homered off JoJo Romero to tie the game. Bregman is still hitting just .229 on the season, but his .234 BABIP is significantly lower than his career .280 BABIP. He hit .262 with a .270 BABIP last year so his average should pick up and his .176 ISO is right in line with his .178 ISO last year when he hit 25 home runs. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:29 pm

    • Taking next step in rehab
Kelly (shoulder) will begin his throwing program Tuesday, Theo Mackie of The Arizona Republic reports.

Advice: This is the next expected step for Kelly as he makes his way back from a right shoulder strain. His recovery has been moving along smoothly to this point, but the right-hander could take some time to gain clearance for mound work. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:23 pm

    • Connor Norby batting ninth in MLB debut on Monday
Connor Norby will start at second base and bat ninth for the Orioles in his big league debut against the Blue Jays on Monday night.

Advice: The 23-year-old prospect will get at least a few games to show what he can do at the gameā€™s highest level with Jorge Mateo (concussion) sidelined. Heā€™s worth a look in deeper mixed leagues and AL-only formats for as long as heā€™s playing for the Oā€™s. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:33 am

    • Officially promoted to big leagues
The Orioles selected Norby's contract from Triple-A Norfolk on Monday.

Advice: It's the first major-league promotion for Norby, who has batted .286/.374/.510 with nine home runs and seven stolen bases this season at Norfolk. Second base has been Norby's primary position in the minors, although he's seen a little more time in the outfield this season at Norfolk. With Jorge Mateo (concussion) landing on the 7-day injured list, second base is likely Norby's clearest path to playing time. Norby will man the keystone and bat ninth in Monday's series opener in Toronto. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:05 am

    • Orioles officially promote Connor Norby from AAA
Orioles selected the contract of INF Connor Norby from Triple-A Norfolk.

Advice: As anticipated, the 23-year-old infielder will get his first shot at the big leagues with Jorge Mateo (concussion) heading to the injured list. He was slashing an impressive .286/.374/.510 with nine homers, 36 RBI and seven swipes in 238 plate appearances at Triple-A Norfolk, but that came with a 30.7% strikeout rate. Itā€™s possible that this could be a temporary situation while Mateo is sidelined, so fantasy managers should temper expectations. Still, Norby possesses an intriguing blend of power and speed and if he produces out of the gate he could take the job and run with it. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:56 am

    • In line for promotion
Norby is traveling with the Orioles to Toronto and is expected to be officially called up from Triple-A Norfolk prior to Monday's series opener with the Blue Jays, Jeff Passan of ESPN.com reports.

Advice: Baltimore won't make any roster moves official until a few hours before Monday's 7:07 p.m. ET opening pitch, but Norby would make sense as a replacement if Jorge Mateo requires a stint on the injured list after entering the concussion protocol following his departure from Sunday's 4-3 loss to the Rays. The 23-year-old Norby is slashing .286/.374/.510 with nine home runs and seven stolen bases across 238 plate appearances this season with Triple-A Norfolk. If it's Mateo whom he is indeed replacing, Norby could see some reps at second base, although the Orioles also have the option of putting Jordan Westburg at the keystone and Ramon Urias at third base. Norby has also made starts in left and right field at Norfolk this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:58 am
