      Advice: Suarez was summoned in the ninth frame to protect a one-run lead and had no trouble doing so, retiring the side in order on 14 pitches. The right-hander came into the campaign with a loose grip on the ninth-inning role for the Padres but has emerged as one of the league's top first-half closers with 16 saves (in 16 chances) while posting a 0.73 ERA, 0.69 WHIP and 24:5 K:BB over 24.2 innings.       Schwarber went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run, a walk and a stolen base in Monday's loss to San Francisco.

      Advice: Schwarber put the Phillies on the board in the third inning with a two-run shot off reigning NL Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell. It was his fourth homer against a lefty this season, and he's now batting a lofty .333 (27-for-71) against southpaw hurlers.       Advice: The save was Suarez’ 16th of the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.73 on the season. While the Padres’ closer situation was ambiguous going into the season, Suarez has grabbed the job and run with it to the point where he’s been one of the best closers in all of fantasy this season.       Jazz Chisholm Jr. went 2-for-4 with a stolen base, a double, and a solo home run against the Padres on Monday.



      Advice: The home run was Chisholm Jr.’s eighth and the stolen base was his 10th. He’s 27-for-95 (.284) in the month of May and his average is up to .265 on the season with a .792 OPS.       Kyle Schwarber went 2-for-3 with a walk, a stolen base and a two-run home run against the Giants on Monday.



      Advice: The home run was Schwarber’s 10th of the season and the stolen base was his third. He’s been heating up lately as he’s 10-for-25 (.385) over his last seven games. The home run was Schwarber’s first since May 6th. His power has been down this season, but he’s been known to hit home runs in bunches. Maybe this could be the start of a hot streak for Schwarber.

      Advice: Thomas has been on the IL for just over a month with a knee injury. The 28-year-old was tremendous in 2023 but has gotten off to a brutal start in 2024 with a .184/.250/.253 slash line in 22 games. He will remain a fixture in the Nationals’ lineup and should turn things around in the coming weeks. While he may not reach the highs of 2023, he remains a quality MLB outfielder and his 11 steals on the season signal the type of fantasy upside he has. Thomas has been out since late April with a Grade 2 MCL sprain, but he is now ready to roll following a four-game rehab stint with Double-A Harrisburg. Thomas mostly struggled over the first few weeks before landing on the IL, slashing .184/.250/.253 with two homers and 11 steals, but he should immediately slot back in as the starting right fielder for Washington.
